Oda: The other members have been telling me that my "front voice" and my "back voice" are too different. Do you think so too?

Riho: That seems to be the case. Even during handshake events, your voice seems to be different depending if you're talking to adult or children... Ah! This is a famous story, but I think Oda-chan's attitude with her mom is really terrible (laughs).

Oda: I say things to my mom like "Ah. Okay" in a low tone.

Riho: Since Oda-chan is my kouhai, she has always been polite with me so this was really a shock to me.

Oda: Moreover, my parents use polite language with me.

Riho: Eh? Your parents use polite language with you? And you use casual language, right?

Oda: At home, yes.

Riho: Your mother really is an elegant person. Meanwhile, my mother has been telling me that I'm a lazy woman since I was a child... Oh, that reminds me! The other day, I was walking around Shibuya when I got a phone call from my mom. Like I mentioned earlier, she is very strict and she got real angry with me over the phone so I burst out in tears on the road. Then, a fan came over (and at this point it's been months since I was last noticed on the streets) but I thought it wouldn't be good if this person noticed that I was crying so I said "Thank you" with my head down and with a red face.

Oda: Wow! I also have a story like this. Ikuta-san and I were walking around on a rainy day in Shibuya with only one umbrella when a group of young girls came over and asked if we were Ikuta-san and Oda-san. They didn't have an umbrella so I held out mine and Ikuta-san got drenched as a result.

Riho: Eripon didn't get angry?

Oda: Worse! She kept quiet the whole time after that so it was very scary. But I understand because Ikuta-san would definitely get noticed in Shibuya while I wouldn't.

Riho: Yeah. She always wears flashy clothes so she would get noticed even if she wore eyeglasses and a mask.

Oda: Her celebrity aura even when she's off is really great, isn't it?

Riho: Even I can "go off," you know? (pause) Nah. I probably can't. If I don't release a sparkling aura...

Oda: You can graduate from being a lazy woman if you want!

Riho: (with her head down) Now Oda-chan has gone and told me.

Oda: (laughs)

Riho. By the way, there was an instance where my dad and I got mistaken for a couple who are far apart in age!

Oda: Sayashi-san's dad is really cool and refreshing!

Riho: Yup. He really is. That's why I get asked, "Who is he?" "He's my father! He's my father!" I say. (laughs)

What 16 year old girl isn't a bit cheeky to her elders from time to time. I think Sakura has it tough with her parents being separated and having to work hard at being a member of Morning Musume whilst having to put up with rude comments about her appearance and her role in the group from anti-fans (the latest comments are about the recent Kumamon photo in which she looks really tired), so it may be easier for her to speak casually to her parents because she's having to put on a brave face and be polite and smile sweetly in front of people (the anti-fans) who ridicule her and put her down. It makes me wish that Morning Musume could do another shouty stompy angry song like Shabondama so that members like Sakura can release all that pent up stress they must be feeling at times.

Eh I think you are overthinking it. Considering all girls have antis we don't know how they deal with that in their private life, but I think it has nothing to do with how she's polite to people and more about her own relationship with her mother. We also don't know about her parents situation (I was relieved my own got divorced and I was 11 so yeah). She might just have an attitude to her mother or just not be formal like Riho is used to with her own mother since hers is strict.  Sakura also seems to be the type that "is fine" about anything most of the time so as not to be a bother in MM so maybe hearing her be more "whatever" surprised Riho.

 

Idk I think Sakura is one of the less stressed members. At first, probably yes, she was alone and it seemed it took some time for the rest of the members to reach to her, + how she wasn't well recieved. Now idk, she is friends to most and seems happy enough. Ofc we won't ever know.

I didn't mean stressed within the group. She has 12 other members who she can easily call her friends and look to for support if she wishes to I meant stressed as in having to put up with people being rude about her appearance and her role in the group, as in the anti-fans. She said herself that she refused to react to any of the negativity that she gets, so she definitely knows about it. I think all the girls go through stressful experiences, especially with some of the negativity they receive from anti-fans, but they've all learned how to cope with it well.

That being said, I don't think her talking casually to her parents is her being rude or a brat. She probably just feels really comfortable around them enough to be that way because she gets to be Oda Sakura the teenage daughter going through a slightly rebellious stage as she grows to be an independent young lady, and not just Oda Sakura the idol who sings like an angel and smiles sweetly even when she may not really want to. Plus she's still young so she has plenty of time to grow up to be a polite young lady towards her parents and elders outside of her role as an idol

- She says that she doesn't feel either way that her three years have been short or long.

- She is the only one in her generation so there were times during rehearsals when the other girls would all group themselves per generation and she would be alone. But recently, she feels that she has finally found her place within the group and has been dividing her time equally with the other three generations. 

- Zukki is the member she is closest to.

- From around 21:00-26:00 of the broadcast, Riho and Sakura do impressions of Koda Kumi and two characters from "My Neighbor Totoro."

- Regarding her way of talking with her mom, Sakura said that her mom was brought up in a strict environment so she did not want the same for her child. 

- She gave some more examples of the above:

- When she was in middle school, there was an incident where she got injured because she was bumped by a boy on the stairs. She claimed that this gave her astral projection abilities (separating your soul from your body). This was quite useful for when her mom or grandmom would scold her. - In a magazine interview, Matsuko Deluxe said that Sakura could really become something if she did more with her make-up/image. Sakura said that she would once again consult with management regarding this.

interesting...thx DX-san for your advice, but im little confuse with "do more with her makeup/image" 

is she mean sakura need to change her makeup style or change her appearance or what,,,
