hopefully FFVII:AC will not suffer the fate as other americanized stuff and become crap, looking forward to see if this english version is any good. but of couse i'm so used to the japanese voices w/ subtitles it'll take someSorry if this was confirmed earlier but I just saw a commercial for Advent Children on sale in the US for April 25 on DVD and UMD. The voices on the commercial sounded very cool. I have seen this already but I'm very curious on how the English version will compare to the Japanese version. I can't wait.

Believe it or not, I actually loved the english cast for TSW. Alec Baldwin, James Wood, Steve Buscemi, Ving Rhames and Ming Na was awesome.

The plot was rather paper-thin... sure, it was a good film, but the plot wasn't that original. Basically a FFVII fan who hadn't completed the game entirely wouldn't understand some parts.
But Aerith <3333 And the American cast sucked. Sakurai Takahiro did a great job on Cloud - perfect matching voice. Same with Aerith, Tifa, Sephy etc. But Steve Burton kind of killed Cloud's personality. >>;

I like the way they have Cloud being so superhuman that he only gets scratched when getting shot in the forehead with a gun at the beginning of the game.
Keeps it consistent with the video game. When you get shot in the video game....that's exactly the amount of damage it would have done.
Many times when bringing video games out of sheer playdom they lose that superhuman quality that existed in battle.
New signature coming probably never!

the english dub was good but i'd rather read through the subs.
consistency of the movie and the actual game was quite good because if you played FF7, you'd probably know a bird's eye view of the movie.
cgi in this movie was also excellent.
