Yep I'm a Londoner no sarcasm there lol

I don't live in the West side of London (I live in East) so train journey = me have to wake up early
and pay for my train journey with my oyster card >.>

At HyperJapan last year there were H!P 2010 calenders (no Momusu though) only Berryz and C-ute
They also had AKB 2010 calenders as well(Kasai Tomomi's)
Berryz 1st PB, Sayumi LA PB, Aichan Katachi PB, H!P 2010 Mobekimasu PB, some older MM PB as well.

There was quite a lot more H!P stuff than AKB

Aaah yeah, I looked for MoMusu stuff at HyperJapan, but all I could find were a load of old photobooks (We're talking 2006/07 here). Alot of Berryz though!

Aaaah I'm definatly going to Hyper Japan this year. I had so much fun last year!!!
I'm not too sure where the Olympia is though. I'm sure I'll find it somewhere (Or follow the cosplayers and lolis. Thats what I did last year !!!)

Trains to London from where I live are about £45. Return, including tubes. But I bought me a 16-25 railcard, which is extreemly handy! I should probably get an Oyster card too...

There's a tube which goes straight to Olympia. BUt you have to be careful because it's easy to get confused between Olympia and Olympia 2, they're pretty much the same building.

The only places I know in London are Tokyo Toys and the Japan centre *flails*

Knowing me I'll end up in the wrong building thinking "Wrong weekend?! D8"

why didnt anyone tell me there is a HyperJapan event in London last year...
I will definately go this year and hopefully meet some of you there.
For those who went last year...how big is the event? is it like the London expo? how much H!P stuff is there?
was it invaded by Kpop?

Last year it was rather big. There was a shop in the middle of the room selling magazines and photobooks etc. Alot of which were H!P. They had lots of Berryz calanders as well =) I've never been to London expo, but I dont think its as big as that. Although it might be this year being in the Olympia. Is that pretty big too? Idk Dx

And actually, there wasnt any Kpop there. At the time of the event SNSD and KaRa hadnt made their Japan debut. There might be some there this year, but I doubt it will be alot >w<

Another Londoner here A few years ago we tried organising a few Karaoke meet ups for H!P fans etc, but there were just a small group of us who showed up. Other than Hyper Japan, which everyone's mentioned, there's also:

It's a weekend event, but there's lots of stuff to do - plus their main DJ is a big H!P fan ~ she DJ's for J-Pop Go and recently DJ'd for minamicon (lots of old school Momusu like Tanpopo being played in the chill lounge. You can also find lots of neat stuff in "Bring and Buys" at anime convention - I've found all sorts of second hand CDs, concert DVDs, photobooks, pictures etc. Unforutnetly it's a bit more of an outset than just poping along for a day event, but worth it

Ah I would totally go to a meetup. Considering the only person who would go with me to any events is about to move back to Australia, I could use people who are also fans of jpop to meet up with!

because last year the kept playing her PV for people to watch in 3D

Vampire Knight fans will be happy she is going to be there

So I was talking with a friend earlier, and we were joking about Airi's announcment being a special guest at H!J? xP The liklihood of it is pretty low, but we were in hopes haha.
