Announced on E3. Main Pokemon game for Switch confirmed, still early development.

So yeah, probably be released in 2018 or 2019?

Eh. They really want people to buy the Switch.

Depending on how the game will be I might actually give in. I mean I've bought handhelds just for Pokemon... and in 2019 the Switch might be a bit cheaper too.

I, for one, welcome our new 15ki overlords.

It was just announced officially after a month or so of rumors. Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu and Pokemon Let's Go! Eevee have been announced for the Nintendo Switch at a Pokemon press event. They'll be released November 16, 2018, presumably worldwide. It has multiplayer and uses Pokemon GO catching mechanics. It also uses a Pokeball controller.

Here's a Kotaku article about it: https://kotaku.com/a...-swi-1826406743

And here's the official trailer:

As for my personal thoughts. I would have preferred a regular Pokemon RPG, but I'm not going to make my final judgement until we see more. I'm assuming we'll get another trailer for E3 in a few weeks.

EDIT: Apparently, there's a main Pokemon RPG slated for late 2019. This is not the next main game in the series.

*dusts the H!O Pokemon thread off 3 years of negligence*
I noticed this thread hasn't been updated in over 3 years (maybe H!O as a whole is dying a slow death?), so I'll update it.
First of all, Nintendo and Game Freak released a League of Legends-style mobile game, Pokemon Unite, earlier this year and... well, I've tried it out (although I'm currently unable to give y'all proof because, well...) Secondly, I heard that there're going to be the releases of Diamond and Pearl remakes (which're titled Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl BTW) by the end of this year.
And last but not least, in 4 months' time, there's going to be an open-world Pokemon RPG (*cough*Genshin Impact*cough*) titled Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and I've heard that it's set in a region called Hisui and, well, the website for that game's revealed some Hisuian regional forms for Zorua, Zoroark, Braviary, and Growlithe...
