I may bring my other fic I started here,after I finish Cafe buono, but that's planning a long time ahead

Okay, I'm really bored, so I'll just update now! ^.^

***Chapter 3***

Everyone at Cafe Buono hated me? Well, Miyabi was a given, but I didn't think everyone else was like that.

There was no way around it anyways. I was the Shimizu's property, so it didn't really matter if they liked or hated me. I had to stay.

I felt a hand touch my shoulder, and flinched.

"Relax, Airi. It's just me, Captain!"

I sighed.

I really wish I could've talked to Maimi more. I had a lot of questions that I just needed answers to. How did she know everyone hated me?
Why didn't they like me? Why is Miyabi avoiding me?

"By the way, you were out all day yesterday. Where were you?"

"I went and had a talk with Maimi...." I replied.

She looked back shocked, giving me the "No way!" look.

"What'd she say?"

It was hard not to tell the truth sometimes. This was one of those times. What excuse could I use without sounding fake?

Did it matter if I told the truth? After all, Maimi said Captain hated me too.

"She asked me if I wanted to become an employee at Cafe C-ute..."

"Oh...But you're already a member at Buono, so I doubt you'd switch."

Doubt? I wasn't so sure of that. I just didn't seem like Captain wanted me to quit. Maybe she didn't hate me.

"B-but Maimi said that everyone at Cafe Buono hates me!" I stammered.

Captain giggled.

"Yeah...that sounds just like something Maimi would do..."

I gave her a blank look. Something Maimi would do, what would she do?

"Un, Maimi lies a lot to get what she wants. Apparently, you're what she wants, so she'll use whatever tactics to get you."

"Ehhhh? So no one hates me."

"Does it seem like I hate you at all? You're my newest family member, so that's how I'll treat you. Like family."

"What about everyone else?" I felt my hands sweating.

That jerk lied to me, just to convince me to quit.

"Momo would never hate you. She's to happy to hate."

There was only one more thing I needed to confirm.

"What about Miyabi?"

She turned blank. It took a long time, before she replied again.

"I don't think Miyabi hates you. She may have her own reasons for avoiding you, but it's not hate. It's something else...."

I wasn't sure what it could've been, but I knew someone who could help me find out!

"Hey, Airi~"

I was pretty sure Momo would be able to help me, after all she knew Miyabi for forever.

"Momo.....I just heard something very strange, so I need your help figuring something out!"

Her ears perked up, and she leaned in.

"What's the secret?" She whispered.

"It's not that much of a secret..."

She sulked back.

"Awww~....I thought we'd be going to crime scenes and investigating and stuff...."

Well, here it goes.

"Do you know why Miyabi's been avoiding me?"

Momo paused. I could feel my hands sweat. I was getting anxious for the answers.

"No idea!~"

I sighed in dissapointment.

"Awww~ Don't be like that Airi!~ I can still help!~" Momo whined.

"How?"

"I know where you can surely find out!~" Momo burst, "Her diary!~"

For once Momo was actually going to be a help, a huge help.

She led me to Miyabi's house and then up to Miyabi's room, with a paper clip in her hand.

As expected, the door was locked.

"Now what are we going to do?" I whispered to Momo.

"Wait!~ Just watch.~" Momo replied as I turned to leave.

So, I waited. Knowing Momo, she'd find a way locked or not.

She took the paperclip, and jammed it into the door. As expected, the door unlocked.

For some reason Momo knew exactly where our target was.

She went right for the drawer in the corner of the room. In there was the diary.

Again, it was locked.

Momo went over to the cream colored desk near Miyabi's bed, and opened a drawer. She took out the key from under a pile of random stuff.

Momo put everything back to the way it was, and locked the door.

She then pulled out a rope that she had brought along, and headed over toward the window.

"Okay, You'll lower me down, and then once I'm down you jump. I'll catch you!~"

I nodded. I was kind of nervous eing the one to jump. If Momo didn't catch me, I'd get hurt.....not a good idea.

I carefully lowered Momo down to the ground, and she gave me a thumbs up. Then it was my turn.

I threw the rope to the ground, and jumped.

Although, nearly fell to my death, Momo managed to catch me (barely).

"What about the open windows?" I asked Momo.

She grabbed a broom from the alley way next to the building. She faced the broom upward, and held it up against the window.

She slid it down, until the window closed fully.

"Wow! Miyabi's still a slob!~" Momo exclaimed.

She handed me the diary and a dark colored bag.

"I suggest you go home before reading it!~ and put it in the bag!~ You don't want Miyabi to catch you walking the streets with her diary!~"

I took her advice, and placed the diary in the bag.

"After you're done with it, give it to me and I'll return it, okay?~"

I nodded.

Wow......Momo was really sneaky......

Out of boredom I finished the next chapter, so here it is.....

***Chapter 4***

My fingers traced the embroidered words spelling out Miyabi on the cover.

Surprisingly, the book was pink with a heart shaped diamond on the cover. I didn't expect Miyabi to be girly at all.
It looked like a really expensive book.

I remmbered when I used to have a diary, but that was when my family could afford it.
I didn't feel like asking for another favor from the Shimizu's.

Anyways, it was my moment of truth and I was stalling. Myabe afraid to know what was really going on.

"Just get on with it Airi!" a voice in my head was saying.

I decided to follow the voice, and opened the first page of the book.

"This is the property of Natsuyaki Miyabi if lost than please return to the fourth house on BerryzRoad.
5/1/09"

I flipped to the second page.

"5/1/09

Okay, so this is my 5th diary, I just shoved the rest of them somewhere in my closet.
I guess I just can't stop writing in these damn things. It's just so addicting! Today was
just like usual. Momo annoying me all day at the cafe. Captain keeps saying how we're
getting too many costumers, and that we need a new waitress. Personally, I agree with
her, we do need a new member. We're been way overworked here!

5/5/09

Captain keeps talking about how her family found the perfect sister for her. They're
adopting some girl into the family. I told Captain that I didn't really want to meet her,
but I actually can't wait until Capatin brings her to the cafe. For some reason Captain
won't say their easons for adopting her, or why she was put up. I really want to know
, but if it's personal then I won't get into her business. I just hope it doesn't have
anything to do with the girl from 10 years ago. Even though I was 6, I should've
called the cops on that. Then again if I did that, they may have tried to kill me or
something."

Girl from 10 years ago?
Miyabi's diary was really interesting to me, even though I didn't find anything out about me yet.
I shivered at the last sentence. Someone's out to get Miyabi?

"5/31/09

Crap, haven't written here in a long time! Captain said that her parents finally got her her
new sister. I can't wait to see her! Captain says she's really kind, smart, and cute.
Captain should really stop talking about the new girl. She's making me so freakin anxious!
Anyways, she told Momo and me that the girls name is Suzuki Airi....for some reason the
name Suzuki sounds familiar.

4/1/09

Today was horrible. Even if she's older I can still recongize her. I'm pretty sure it's the same girl
from that accident 10 years ago. I'm so scared to talk to her. I know I'm bad at keeping secrets,
especially if it's something serious like this that only I know about. I know I've been the only one
who's known about it for this long, but if I talk to her now I might spill the beans. I don't want to
wreck her life by telling her, so it's best if I avoid her. I really hate this."

I blinked I'm the gril from 10 years ago? Miyabi used to know me? How come I can't remember? Accident?

"Shut up and keep reading Airi!" the voice inside me instructed.

I followed it again.

"4/2/09

Damn it. I can't stop look at her. I feel so sorry for her, and I think I'm really torturing her by
avoiding her. I hope she doesn't think I'm mean or anything. What if she hates me? I'm not
sure what to do. I really want to be friends with her, but then what if I can't control myself?
This sucks. She keeps looking st me with those sad eyes. I hope I'm not making her
miserable! Dang, Maybe if she was uglier it'd make ignoring her easier. Couldn't
Captain have picked someone else to adopt?

The stupid idiots from Cafe C-ute came over today. Personally, I don't think they're cute at
all, just dumb. They were accusing us of throwing toilet paper all over their cafe. I enjoyed
throwing that toilet paper. I took it from their cafe, 20 rolls, covering their whole place. It was
awesome, Momo and I had so much fun! Tomorrow we'll egg their cafe just for making us
clean. Still, it really bothered me when Erika called Airi cute. I don't know why, but it really
bothered me. She better not be hitting on her. She already has Maimi! Anyways, I don't
know what that paper Maimi gave Airi was for, but if she does anything then I'll have to jump
her."

I giggled.

I turned to the next blank page, and took out my pink gel ink pen.

"Relax Miyabi! Nothing happened!"
I scribbled on the page.

I still wanted to return the book to Momo, and ask her some questions.

Maybe she knew what the 10 years ago thing was about.

All I knew, was that Miyabi didn't hate me. She had a good reason for avoiding me.
I was kind of relieved that she actually wanted to be my friend.

Anyways, I already read her diary, so what was the point of holding back?
She could be my friend now, right? It didn't really matter.

I knocked on the aqua blue painted door.

Momo popped out from inside, and grabbed my hand. She pulled me inside the house.

"What was that about?" I gasped.

"What if Miyabi's out there? You forgot to cover the diary, before going outside!~"

I looked down to the uncovered diary in my hands.

"Oops.....Sorry, I forgot the bag!" I shrugged.

Momo grabbed the book.

"Thanks Airi!~ I have to read it!~" Momo exclaimed, "I read her diaryevrey month without Miyabi knowing!~"

"Isn't that theft?" I asked.

She looked at me seriously.

"But there was one I didn't get to read. Miyabi locked it up in a secret place.~"

I gave her a weird look.

"Why would she lock it up?"

"Don't know....she said it was because their was something secret in there~..."

My mind flashed to the 10 years ago statement.

"Momo....read the diary...there's something important in there. I think Miyabi wanted to lock this one up too..."

Momo snatched the diary, and read through the pages slowly.

I watched her hand quiver, when she got to 5/5/09 and 4/1/09.

"C-cops? Kill?~ Girl from 10 years ago~?' Momo stammered in a more high pitched voice than usual.

"I think Miyabi knew me from somewhere, but I didn't know her...."

Momoko gave me a serious look.

"Airi!~ This is serious..." Momo whispered.

At first I thought I saw tears in her eyes, so I was going to console her, but then I noticed that she wasn't sad.
She was excited.

"Do you realize what this is?~ we're involved in a mystery!~" Momo exclaimed.

"You're a girl who needs to find her past, and I'm your companion who helps! Miyabi is the key to all the answers!~"

She was making this into a plot?

"But Miyabi won't tell us, so we have to figure it out on our own!~"

"Umm....Momo?" I cut her off, "You're making your own story now....."

"Oops...Sorry...It's just that this is the most exciting thing I've ever done!~"

Yes, she was getting carried away.

"Well, Momo. I'm going to confront her tomorrow. I want to do it alone though."

"What?" Momo whined.

"Don't worry, you'll still be in on this, but I want her to stop ignoring me."

I turned to face Momo.

"We're going to face this problem together whether Miyabi likes it or not!"

I'm really loving this fic. It has a cute lightheartedness to it. (if that's even a word) I really liked Maimi's character for some reason. She sounded so bad, but it just made me laugh while I read her lines. So hmm...I wonder what happened in the past. I'm very curious.

I actually really like Momo in here, she's just plain awesome every time she shows up. I love it how much she says "meanie", it's so funny.

And I cracked up with the whole stealing the diary scene. LOL, Momo does this every month to read Miya's diary?! It's hilarious!

I'm also curious with the whole ten years ago part. It's does sound very serious and it's making me kinda worried.

***Chapter 5***



It was finally Monday, a work day at Cafe Buono. Momo and I decided that today I would confront Miyabi. I had to know.

Momo and I walked together to the cafe, but when we got to the door I departed Momo.

She would wait outside, while I would go in. It would be a private conversation. Miyabi and me.

She probably already knew, that I read her diary. After all, I wrote a response in it.

I opened the door slightly, and peeked inside.

Good. She was in.

With that, I thrust open the doors.

Miyabi sighed.

"Damn, Momo." I heard her mutter.

I tilted my head a little.

"How'd you know Momo helped steal it?"

"It's pretty much obvious. She steals it every month. This time I didn't get a chance to hide it."

"Hide it?"

"Unnn....Momo probably told you that I hide the important ones."

I shook my head.

"Is this about the 10 years ago thing?"

She flinched. I watched as her eyes went wide.

"If you knew, why didn't you call the cops or something. They're freakin kidnappers!"

What was she talking about? Kidnappers? What the heck was this about?

"Miyabi? I don't know what you mean? Who's a kidnapper?"

I noticed that she smiled a little when I said Miyabi, but she also looked confused.

"You mean you don't remember?"

She gave me a blank stare, but looked relieved at the same time.
I wasn't going to let her off the hook.

"Miyabi, tell me what happened."

"I.....I can't.......It'd wreck you....."

At this time, I was pissed. I hated these stupid secrets. If there were problems we could solve them together.
The secrets were getting us no where.

"Miyabi....tell us what happened!~"

I turned around, and Momo was there with Captain.

"You know too?" I asked.

Captain nodded.

"Momo isn't good with secrets, if you stare at her enough, she just starts blabbing....."

"She asked me why she couldn't go in, and then just broke my excuses down...." Momo continued.

Miyabi sighed.

"Well....I don't know a whole lot, but here it goes....."

***************Flashback - Miyabi's POV*****************

I was so excited that my hands wouldn't stop shaking.
Mom and Dad were taking me on a cruise. It was so much fun.

The food, the dancing, the music. It was all amazing.

My mom was feeling a little sea sick, so she wanted to get some juice, but I insisted that I should get it.
After all, I was 6 so it was my first time working a vending machine.

I headed over to the machine, and saw this little girl. She was tiny, but amazingly cute.

She had to teeth that started to curve into sharp points, jet black hair, and rosy cheeks.
Her smile made me melt.

Mom always said that I'm too young to fall in love, but I was pretty sure I was experiencing it now.
Even if I was only 6 years old.

She was there next to 2 other people. Probably her parents.

The mother was tall and lean, and the dad was the same. They both had black hair.

I would remember that little girl forever.

I retrieved the juice for my mom, and the rest of the ride was pretty enjoyable.

I just couldn't stop thinking about the little girl.
I wanted to get up and start searching the ship, but my parents stuck to me like glue.

When the cruise was over, my parents and I were exiting out of the ship.

That's when I saw her again.

I remember walking to her side and asking her what her name was.

"Suzuki Airi...I'm four years old! " She replied with another melting smile.

For a four year old, she was pretty smart, but at the same time I found that she was gullible.

"This is my mommy and daddy!" She announced proudly.

The couple noticed me.

I remembered seeing them on the ship too, but they weren't the ones next to her.

For one, the lady had light brown hair, while the man was blond.

The lady wore a pink blouse, while the mother wore a blue flower print dress.

They were fakes.

They probably just told the gullible little girl that they were her parents.
She probably believed them, because she's 4. She didn't know any better.

I had seen the couple on the ship, they were staring at Airi. They noticed me there too.

Now the couple looked a little nervous, and walked away from me as fast as they could.
They looked like they were in a hurry.

I wanted to scream to Airi. To snatch her out of their arms.

Once the couple got to their car, they drove away as fast as they could.

Airi just waved to me, giving me her wonderful smile.

I truly didn't know what to do. Should I call the cops? Would they listen to me......?

I just stared at her. My mouth dropped open.

"Y-you think I was kidnapped?" I stammered.

She nodded.

"Proof."

She pointed to my teeth.

"The 2 teeth on either side curve into a point. Jet black hair....rosy cheeks.....smile..."

She blushed a bit, but then continued.

"What color is you dad's hair?"

"Ummm....B-blond?"

"And mom's"

"Light........."

I stared at her. Oh my god......she was right.

"Light brown.." I whispered.

I was shocked.

"You're forgetful, aren't you?" Miyabi said with a grin.

"Forgetful? Why would I..."

"You don't remember that cruise at all..." She paused. "I told you that the story would ruin you..."

I nodded, "But it didn't"

She looked surprised.

"It didn't?"

"Now I just want to know even more. What happened to my real parents? Why did they kidnap me?"

She grinned even more, and I actually found it cute.

"You're a strange one."

I nodded, smiling at her. "You got that right!"

Captain looked shocked, but anxious at the same time, "So we're going to figure this out together?"

I nodded.

"I'm in!" Miyabi said placing her hand on top of mine.

"Me too!~" Momo announced proudly, adding her hand to the pile.

"Me three!" Captain said, finishing the pile.

"Miyabi like Airi!~" Momo shouted.

Miyabi and me both lifted our hands, and slapped Momo on the head.

"What was that for?~" Momo cried.

"What'd you think, you nimwit!" Miyabi scowled.

"Well you said "Mom always said that I'm too young to fall in love, but I was pretty sure I was experiencing it now."

Miyabi glared at her.

"That was 10 years ago! I didn't know what I was talking about back then...or thinking about!"

"Aww...Miya's so cute!~" Momo said, petting Miyabi's head.

Miyabi bit her hand, and Momo started crying.

It was only the start now, of a big adventure, and I was in the middle of it.

We all had a role.

I was the victom. Miyabi the witness. Momo was the sneak (helps unlock door s and steals),
and Captain was the solver.

Together we would all uncover the mystery. I started liking this adventure.
