Lost my job. No amount of S/mileage can cheer me up for the time being.

Similar to Krusha... a job is one of the many balls a person has to simultaneously juggle. The "job ball" is one that will bounce back. It sucks. But you'll be OK.

Oh God! That's terrible! I was really wondering and quite worried why you have not been active this couple of days! Wish you all the best, the S/mileage threads are empty without you...

So I got promoted, yay, and then promptly handed a large pile of customer service issues. Whee.

It occurs to me that S/mileage and HKT48 are in surprisingly similar positions.

@Tuhis: Nogi is what failure? For not outselling AKB? So all H!P groups are failure as well? Nogi has become one of the best selling music acts of Japan, latest single sold over 300,000 units. They don't need to outsell AKB, the rival portion is a joke in my opinion though. But this is another group Akimoto has that can become a platform for whatever fan that may get tired of AKB and keep them on grasp. I've seen a couple of those fans already.

@angonoa: The 48 name along with the varied number of editions for HKT's singles may give the push to it's sells. However, let it be left clear here than none of these aspects say anything against the quality of the group, only speaks about the current state of the musical business and how hard it is for unknown new groups to get sells by simply releasing stuff.

If anyone could seed the S/mileage Fukuda/Takeuchi/Tamura BD event DVD, I would love you.

Exactly. S/mileage has very few seeders in general, so I need to be prepared for anything.

So... Koji Uehara of the Boston Red Socks and Kanana are apparently Twitter friends... I am in support of this.

I know I'm mostly alone in my video game tastes, but it's hard to deny that FFXIII-2 has a thoroughly beautiful soundtrack.

If you insist on dropping Japanese unnecessarily into English conversation, go so far as to pretend to be Japanese on the internet, or anything in-between, we are probably not going to be friends.

I don't really understand why idol production companies so often insist on post-production doctoring of live performances.

But it is basically lip-syncing, the only difference being that the people in the audience actually got to hear it live. If I want to see a concert, I want to hear the sort of energy and performance quality that comes forth from live singing, as opposed to a coached and pitch-corrected live recording. Especially in the case of idols.

well listen to the audio recording done by fans, but this isn't something that is "especially done in the case of idols". Its done by every single music group in the world.

You didn't even read what I said, clearly. "Especially in the case of idols" refers to my desire to hear the energy of the live in the vocals. I even agreed that it isn't something limited to idols in a previous comment (literally the one above yours). Also, fan recordings are garbage, and no, not "every single music group in the world" does it. Not even close. Please do not comment if you cannot adequately read and form a coherent argument.

10 minutes worth of Tales of Xillia makes Tales of Graces look so, so much worse than it already was.
