31 December 2008 - 10:25 PM

The title is pretty self explanatory.... Also, you can include things you hope for in the next year!
What are you planning on changing? doing? or looking forward to? in 2009???

Oh... and Happy New Year, to my fellow Hello!Online users!!!! XD

---------------------------------------------
As for me... I have no resolutions. :w00t:

I hope to play a show in another country, though... even if it's in North America, that's fine. :good:

Hangry & Angry in USA

31 December 2008 - 02:07 AM

This seems like an appropriate thread for those of us who are going to see Hangry&Angry at the Anime convention in April. I'll repost what I did in the H!P Agency thread:

HANGRY & ANGRY have been announced to perform in the US, in April, Seattle, WA. Here is what was posted in their MySpace blog:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sakura-Con to host Hangry & Angry premiere US performance!

Seattle, WA- 12-16-2008 ANCEA is pleased to announce the final headlining performers for Sakura-Con 2009. "Hangry & Angry" will make their US premiere at Sakura-Con 2009, April 10-12 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center.

Hangry & Angry is a collaboration with a Harajuku fashion store which goes by the same name and is the brand of popular Japanese designer h.NAOTO . Illustrator GASHICON draws the gurokawa (grotesque-cute)-style characters "Hangry" and "Angry". What is Hangry & Angry? Hangry & Angry represent a potent synthesis of fashion, illustration, fantasy and music.

The characters "Hangry" and "Angry" are said to come from the H44 Star Nebula in order to save the world from global warming. They arrived in the present in their time machine dubbed "LOVE MACHINE."

Name: HANGRY (who might be Hitomi Yoshizawa)
Sex: Female cat
Height: 164 cm (not including hair)
Birthplace: H44 Star Nebula
* A very punk girl. Even though she looks wild and untamed, she is actually delicate and hates things that are out of order.

Name: ANGRY (who might be Rika Ishikawa)
Sex: Female cat
Height: 156 cm (not including hair)
Birthplace: H44 Star Nebula
* A girl who loves goth and appears to be very cute, but in reality, she has a secret devilish side. She believes that people will feel the true power of her music.

Hangry & Angry's first CD "Kill Me Kiss Me" is available in the US exclusively from JapanFiles.com. To celebrate this announcement the first 20 people who register for Sakura-Con 2009, between the dates of 12-16-08 and 12-23-08 will receive a complementary Hangry & Angry CD, courtesy of JapanFiles.com!

This is great news!! I hope others will be going! I know it's a bit far off, but if anyone would like to make plans to do some kind of group thing for this, I will be 100% down for helping get stuff together. This is great for us American/Canadian fans! ^^;

Are there others planning on going to this, and would anyone be interested in getting together for a H!O meeting type thing for lunch or something simple like that? I am 100% going, that is for sure.

Your Favorite Media/Anything of 2008!!!

24 December 2008 - 06:13 AM

Similar to the favorite H!P in 2008 thread, this is to share with everyone your favorite anything from/released in 2008 that isn't H!P related. Leaning more towards media and whatnot, but anything can go!!! List H!P things if you want, I see no problems with that, but there is the other thread!!!

-------

My list will be short, because I don't watch tv nor new movies, nor do I read books! :( And 90% of everything I liked that was released in 2008 was H!P! XD

Music:
- Karen Girl's - Over the Future (my #1 played song of 2008 according to my iTunes, especially if you add up the original version, the three remixes, and instrumental XD )
- no3b - Relax!
- Wonder Girls - So Hot

Concerts:
- Catheter/Massgrave
- Watain
- Today is the Day/Weedeater

Movies:
- I saw the new Batman, and I really liked it! <3

Podcasts:
- This American Life Podcast has been a staple in my life for the last year, I anxiously await Sunday nights for the new episode to be d/l'able. Highly recommended
- The Moth Podcast. Same as TAL Podcast. ^_^

That's all off the top of my head....

Looking for a new computer...

08 December 2008 - 02:14 AM

Well... as the title of this thread states, I'm looking for a new computer but am not really sure what to get, what to look for, and all that jazz. I assume some of you on here are at least a little computer/tech savvy and could probably help me out with my search. I posted this same topic on another forum and the conversation very quickly turned into a PC vs Mac argument and my problems were not solved, I received little help, and am still lost.

So basically... what would you recommend? I'm leaning towards a PC, as that's what I'm more familiar with, but I have been using macs for the last three years, and, though I'm not averse to them, I still feel I'm more suited for a PC... but I'll let you make that judgement. All I need a computer for is going online, downloading songs/videos, and really, that's it. I'd like to be able to burn ISO files to disc also, and utilize most things in the tracker. I think you understand where I'm coming from. I don't play video games or do any business stuff, my whole computer needs revolve around the internet and music playing. I also would like to use it for the next 2-3 years without having to upgrade much; I am not a fan of repairs/upgrades, though, when necessary I will do them.

Any suggestions? My limit on price is $750, I have monitor, keyboard, all that junk.... Hopefully someone can be of help.
