I heard about the new single on her radio show, but I sort of assumed she'd release it as Country Musume, like Rinne did. I suppose this means she's a soloist and a Country Musume now.

Does anyone else see a resemblance between Mai and Ayaka? I get confuse between the 2 whenever they make performances together. They do seem to have the same height too.

^ zam, the easiest way to notice is usually the hairstyle.. but overall, when u close-up abit (depends), u can notice that Satoda face is a bit "older" than Ayaka.. (gomen~ i dunno how to describe it nicely.. )

Heres some snaps from the Sports Festival 2006 closing concert. Uwaki no Honey Pie being performed by Country Musume with Ayaka, Tsuji and another girl from Melon.K. Just wanted to show how confusiong it can be between Mai and Ayaka... with all the dancing it will take a sharp eye to differentiate the two out.

eh thats not fair... Mai's better than Yasuda (sorry Yasuda fans, gomen ne).. but I do agree with you that Ayaka is good looking

but my original point was that if you didn't have time to let your brain to process you could easily mistaken Ayaka for Mai and vice versa...

anyway... i've been listening to Uwaki no Honey Pie the PV and this Sports Festival performance... haha.. I couldn't get enough of it... in the PV i get to see Fujimoto in tennis gear (Mai look fine in that PV btw) and in the Sports Festival version I get to see Ayaka's legs

Mai's 'more mature' look probably has to do with the lines that appear on her cheeks when she smiles hard or the puffiness of her lower eyelids which varies. The fact she usually has bangs which draw attention to her eyes doesn't help. Iida Kaori kind of has a similar thing going on with her eyes. Regardless as it has seen before she may start looking younger the older she gets like Nakazawa Yuko and if not she may keep looking the same as she gets older which isn't bad either.

Is it just me or does Miuna sort of look like Ichii Sayaka (2nd gen Morning Musume)?

I agree with the unit idea. They have performed together a few times now and seemed to have excellent chemistry and considering they don't seem to be doing anything at the moment i cant see why they should not be given a chance.

At least Mai has been given a single. I like her enka style, but cannot get used to that male voice (the video with the drunk salarymen was the coolest, though).

So, I say: kick out the boys, add Ayaka and let those two sing enka
