Visually, I think Kikkawa Yuu represents the current idol mold. It's not a bad thing. Make a cast of her and harvest your new baby idols now!

I still can't understand why that mitsui got the green light for Morning Musume, while this good looking and obviously talented girl didn't get into MM...

She doesn't seem like MM material. I can't imagine her as a Morning Musume, basically. :P Though I do think she should do SOMETHING. I mean, these Eggs are being wasted! They hold concerts where they sing H!P songs and not their own, sing a duet at H!P concerts occasionally, and are background dancers. Or make an Anime group, where then only anime lovers take note. (as far as mainstream goes.)
What's the deal?

i think tsunku just gets a feeling or vision of some girls futures within mm and picks them maybe he just didnt see a future for her in mm
personally i think she wouldve been good in mm but there is no way id trade mittsi for anyone <333
i think mittsi will grow up to be awesome in mm =]]

Watching the auditions, Yuu seemed awkward a bit and was just going through the motions, unlike the other girls. Her solo song in front of the audience was better but it still seemed awkward, especially rhythm-wise. She had a pretty voice but I couldn't see her as a member of Morning Musume as well. But I do know that Tsunku wasn't going to let anyone he thought had potential just walk away!
