I have read all 38 vols. of the manga and loved it, but even though I started watching the anime some years ago I have still not finished it. Forgot all about it.

Just checked and still have to watch season 6 & 7, both movies and all the specials.

And I just have to say that Shampoo has the cutest voice. :(

I have read up to volume 20 of the manga, have seen a handful of first season episodes, along with the first movie and the OVAs. It's pretty wacky, in a funny way :lol:

Another review for Ranma 1/2: (this happened a while ago, watching the episode of the Tea Ceremony Martial arts)

It's a mainstream anime. Why did I call it mainstream? I think another title for Ranma should be Anything Goes Martial arts. Everyone in that show has and knows martial arts. Each characteristics and talents of the characters are the martial arts itself. Tea preparation is a martial art, eating is martial arts, painting and cooking is martial arts, everything is martial arts. I think, IMO, Ranma is one anime that pioneers this kind of trend in other manga/anime.

For the newer mangas/animes, the characteristics of the person is where his/her moves are based of. Example will be the first Crush Gear anime. One character there is a billiard player so his machine is a billiard ball. One is a Chess player so his moves are chess based and the shaped of his machine is a pentagon. Battle B-daman is another anime that does this. One character is a COwboy, so his moves are the quick draw. One is like a scorpion so his moves are scorpion moves scuh as the sting or so, etc.

Ranma did a great job having this trend. It may not be the first one to do it, but it is one that made it the best. XD

at least one the seasons was called Everything goes martial arts

but i also think the show should been Ranma because it really centers around him but Everything goes martial arts is a good name too

A new Ranma 1/2 anime episode has been made. It was shown at the Rumic World event in August. Inuyasha and Urusei Yatsura has also gotten a new episode each. I have no idea if/when they end up on dvd.

And they made a short with all the figures. You can see it subbed here. ^^;

Old school anime is the best! Ranma 1/2 was the first anime series I really got into (if you don't count Pokemon...). I remember it was only on VHS when I started watching it, so I would drive all over town trying to find all the VHS tapes! I've almost seen every episode and I love them all.

My favorite character is Ranma, but specifically his female half. She has such a sizzling hot body! :itadakimasu: And I love how she takes full advatange of all the things you can get when you're a girl! Ahh, I would've done anything to have a body pillow with a half naked girl-type Ranma on it... <3 /perverted thoughts
