I'm pretty sure that this won't be the last time Sayu's offered a job like this or there is very likely some behind the scenes negotiations going on for Sayu to become a regular on a show.

It's very likely they brought this up because negotiations have been going on for PON! or are pretty much already a done matter and this is kind of a way to "introduce" her before she becomes a regular.

Sayu being included on a celebrity "like" list recently could be very good for her in cases like after MM jobs as she's likely going to be the "cheapest" get for likeability in a "name" personality. (does this make sense? )

 

Anyway, I think this was really a stealthy way of doing Sayu's pre-debut for PON!

PON! may have fired a very public shot asking her if she'd like to be a regular, and Sayu's saying she would.... well, you could read in to that, that it's a done deal.

Or maybe they're just vocalizing their intentions while there are behind the scenes negotiations between Sayu's people and other shows to show they're committed to having Sayu be a regular.

But, even if she does get the PON! job, it's likely Sayu will pop up on other shows to as a guest or maybe even have more than one regular spot, who knows.

But I'm almost sure that post MM, she's going to have a lot of offers.

Sayu's strong media presence and good use of her evolved character probably makes her appealing to lots of shows, especially for that initial pop after her graduation happens. Who knows who will win the chance to be graced by her presence =P

Actually TM Revolution fired the first shot. At Music Awards Japan he asked Sayu if she would consider if he offered her a MC job or something like that. I can't remember the exact words

Ah, you're right!!

That one totally slipped my mind.

I don't think Sayu will have any shortage of job offers post Momusu.

You mean Sayu in another group like Reina/Lovendor?

As much as Sayu loves Morning Musume, I can't really see her joining another group.... heck, I'm not even sure we'll see her singing again, unless it's a guest appearance on one of the karaoke shows or an appearance as part of the OGs.

The recent appearance of the OGs with Ayappe and Gochin was was Gen. 1-4 members, the Golden Era. As for any future musical activities for Sayu, I think it makes sense to have occasional Platinum Era reunions like they had at the NYE Countdown. Ai, Risa, Sayu, Reina and Aika (it would be great to add Eri and Jun/Lin too!), they would still be a draw and sell tickets!
