Well, this single will set an unbreakable record for a female group, most likely this also includes any artist that is active or will be in the future. Declining sales and the movement towards digital distribution will make it unreachable. Congratulations AkiP.

Today at #2 with 12,710. This puts the weekly total at 106,582 above what I'd expected. My new prediction for the official weekly sales is 115-121k. The single's total sales are at 1,869,455.

But anyway, SayoKuro is the best selling single by a female group in Japan.

In second week.... the sales are....116 250 copies sold... it's good....

Manatsu had 128 604. The difference is of ... 42 354. 

Previous single, So Long!, sold 50 403 copies. The difference is ... 65 847.

 

This makes the Summer Singles (the ones with the voting tickets for the Election) to be the only singles to sold over 100k in second week. As Everyday Kachuusha, Manatsu no Sounds Good! and Sayonara Crawl are the only one who sold over 100k in first week....

(The only close single was Flying get with 98k.)

 

 

Those results are still  unofficial. Those results are based on the differences between the last week and the total of the current sales. Total sales - First week = Second week sales....

^Manatsu's 2nd week was 128k not 158k. The official 2nd week sales for Sayonara Crawl are 108,906. The 9k from today doesn't count and your total with it would still be off by 2k as with the 9668 it'd total 118,574 for the week. The single's total is at 1,881,467 with the 2nd week and today's 9668.

I think that was because of the Japanese people auctioning their spare voting tickets to people that couldn't afford to pay for the actual singles, or the people that didn't want to bother with the actual CDs.

 

The Kodama and Watanabe Miyuki communities were talking about them.

lol .. furthermore .. the dude got no idea about ordering stuff in Japan ..
its doesn't cost much to mail it to you .. the hidden cost is in the delivery cost..

Notice the Amazon price is 40yen .. but delivery is 340yen ..
the seller actually make about 300yen for the CD ..which is normal price for any second hand CD ..

and I went to Yahoo auction site .. I found a few sellers .. they actually didn't state the delivery cost..
and 1 just state the packing of 1000yen to be included in the delivery ...
So beware .. it could be a bomb to send them in ...

but anyway .. i know its a hater posting it .. but facts are facts ..
and its true its going cheap on list price but its also true that the seller is actually making it off delivery..

in any case .. if its really 1 yen .. they could well just give it away...
and i have heard cases where they do give it away .. and it help spread more AKB48 music around ...
which is really nice ..
come on even with 2million CDs .. its not enough to go around a 128million nation ..

I don't understand the point of bringing up what people are and aren't doing with their copies of the single. It's yours to do with as you wish after all. I think the fact there's enough interest in the single for people to buy it after the election adding at least 50k extra sales to the single's total is enough to prove their music is in fact worth something to people. Most people in today's world possess an MP3 player or an Ipod to stick their favorite songs on. How do haters wasting their time blogging about how so many of them are being resold for insanely cheap prices and ending up in the trash know the songs on those singles haven't already made it to someone's handheld music playing device? And honestly I'd pick up something cheap over full price any day. Saves me from wasting money I can use elsewhere. And remember the majority of the world is low to middle class not upper class. Plenty of us can afford to buy copies of a single only for half price or lower. When you have to buy multiples for things like handshake event tickets and election tickets these cheap pricers are ones best friend.

auctioning at 40yen a CD would also mean that the seller gets also the shipping tax so +300 yen (and more if it's an overseas send) and the 40, it can get nice money.

but it's pointless... to pay 1600 for a thousand(this as an example) of CDs and get back only 340000 yen back... it's illogical totally.

and yeah, Ares is right.... it might send you a bomb together with the CD.

but most probably that the postal office or anyone would notice that....

 

a CD is simple to recognize.
