I realize if Akari becomes the leader of J=J, she will be the first member in H!P history who is the youngest member from the original line-up and of her generation to be a leader of her group.

She will be the 2nd member in H!P history after Risa (from MM) who was the youngest member of the group at a given point to be a leader of a group.

 

So Akari did become the new leader of J=J. I am surprised they didn't announce a sub-leader.

It seems like my wish hasn't been granted (I'd like to see Manakan as a leader).

I'm not surprised, though. Usually Aari is the one who doesn't really want to be a leader, but I think the graduation of all J=J original members has changed her mind. She becomes a different person

To be fair they didn't have a sub-leader since Yuka graduated, it was only Tomoko as the leader. There's also a generation gap.

I think so too. Aari said a few times she don't want to be a leader and is no person who leads people. But now really happy she changed her mind. I Even would be happy if they would let Manakan be the next one

Juice=Juice just had their FC Christmas event......their first event post KanaTomo, their first event with leader Akari, their first event with the current 9-nin line-up. Ruru said they did three new songs!
