i heard it's really hilarious, and i'm not really into j-dorama these days....
but i wanna see this one since it's recommended by a friend of mine.
i'm downloading episode 1 right now, and have a great expectation.

phew... last j-dorama i watched was tokyo love story, so it has been
more than a decade since i saw a j-dora.

im following it.. i just watched the first episode. its really funny.
you can kinda relate to this guy. the guy posts at a bbs


and it has a couple people i recognize..
Oguri Shun (the Gooch's boyfriend)
Gekidan Hitori (from Yaguchi Hitori)
Itoh Misaki (hotness!)
and a couple others..

so yeah.. good stuff.
im about to go watch episode 2 right now, need some food first.

this is going to be a one heck of a dorama !!!

i also heard there's already a movie with the
same title and is reigning #1 at japan's box office.
he, i'll be cool with the tv series.

The main character of the show... is a real sissy... but that's what makes things funnier.

Stereotypical otaku as he himself said.

The acting... is decent. Nothing too bad, nothing too good.

And Oguri Shun is an otaku. wow.


All in all, it's a funny show that's worth the download... and the laughs.

Oh my, I can hear my internet conection complaining already "Hey, take it easy on the dramas" I'm getting Engine, then I want to get Koi ni ochitara and now you guys made me curious about Densha otoko so that will be next on the list. Thanks for the recommendation.

just finished watching episode 5.
man, this show is so~~~ freaking funny.
especially when all the geeks (i like baseball freak and military geek)
sit in front of their computer and start talking to themselves...

This is a serie of 11 episodes named Densha Otoko (Man of the train)

Briefly, everything began in a well-known Japanese BBS when an anonymous user posted that he has defended a girl from a drunk man in a train and she in gratefulness sends a game of tea cups to him. Since then everything, day to day becomed a counted love history through the BBS. It had so much repercussion that even it was published a book with logs of the conversations (even with the emoticons and all that) in the BBS that even turned out to be a Best Seller in Japan, arriving at the production of a film and this serie.

The opening and end themes song are really funny

Fogot to say, i just whatched the first episode its really good i cant wait for the others 10.
I Recomend this serie is really good.

it sure looks like an ordinary chat room.. but i heard it is actually bbs called
2 channel. i don't know how it works, cuz i've never been in one.....

i guess it sorta works like a chat room, but it archives it like bbs...

it is very 80's-ish.. nostalgic.
if you liked 101st propose or tokyo love story (when was these ??? -_-;
this drama is for you....

i agree that it tends to get lil boring and yes, i can tell
how the ending's gonna be with her x returning and stuff....
but i like how they wanted this to have 80's lame love storyfeel
and at the same time emphasize the mordern tech weez (ala bbs & otaku stuffs).

This dorama is the kind you know how it will end but the funny is to see how it happen... (well almost every one is that way but not all ^^)

if you're in the US, you'll have to turn on distributed tracker, almost all US ISPs block this tracker. But the listing site is usually ok, tho slow (use a resumable downloader for the torrent files just in case)

btw, these are rmvb's, NOT avi's. I find the quality decent, ymmv

I haven't watched it yet, I don't watch doramas till they're complete
