Ichika romanized her name as Lisa in her blog post today (https://ameblo.jp/ju...2721680182.html).  I haven't read all of Ichika's blogs, but in the past I remember seeing she wrote Risa.  I wonder if this is something new we'll see going forward...

I guess we won't know until we see goods or something but I hope not, for purely selfish editing reasons (I also just like the name Risa).

I don't know if romanizing it is a good or bad thing. There is already "LiSA" whose full name is Oribe Risa, and who sings famous songs like Gurenge and Homura.

Unless the Lisa romanization starts appearing on official goods or if Irie claims a preference to it in her own blog, I probably wouldn't read too much into it. Ichika always takes the extra time to translate her blog every day in addition to her normal heavy workload, so the occasional errors and uncorrected mistransliterations also slip through sometimes even in member names. It could also be an in-joke between them, or she maybe just thought it was a cute and still (technically) correct way to transliterate the name, so just ran with it.

 

H!P has been a lot more lenient these days with alternative romanizations though, so it still wouldn't surprise me if we do end up seeing Lisa if that's what she prefers similar to how we quickly went from Reira to Layla or Yuriya to Yulia.

 

Edit: Ichika used the Risa romanization in both the Japanese and English portions of her blog today as if to remove any doubt

In today's blog, Risa made an appeal to J=J audition applicants by revisiting her own experience, mentioning how she had NO singing and dancing experience, how she cried to her father when she felt her 2-minute dance assignment was impossible, how she felt surely there were better applicants, how she felt insecure joining with two experienced kenshuusei.

Aaw, I was fooled by her aura during J=J's screen-time. This is the first time she's demonstrated how insecure she is after J=J's debut and she compares herself with her gen-mates. I guess she needs some time to build back her confidence, but again, the manager has seen something in her despite lacking prior singing and dancing experiences. Her visual is one thing, but there must be something else.

When I was examined, I was diagnosed with "panic disorder.

Oh no Risa It doesn't stop - I hope she gets the rest (mental too) she's needing and comes back with her will and not because she thinks she needs to.

Hope she is being taken care of and is able to manage the condition and symptoms well. I know the severity of anxiety/panic disorder affects differently person to person. It may never be gone, but as long as it is well-managed and under control, she would still be able to live her life normally. Take care!
