It was announced that her unit with Akiyama Mao for Hina Fest is called 'Real Love' lol

Airi has announced today on her blog that she will be the new image character for Chiba Bank, appearing in ads, their homepage for their website, as well as in TV commercials starting in April!!

 

She says it was the reason for going back to black hair, lol. (Was wondering why she did that... lol I wonder if she's still with Ray, or is the March issue her last? Ray seems to really love brown hair so I worry Airi doesn't fit their current image for their models)

 

I'm so proud of her! With her now being a Uni grad and in that age demographic of those now graduated as well and looking for work and such, it's a perfect fit for her! She looks wonderful in the ads, I can't posts pictures for some reason so maybe someone else can. I'm so happy about this~!!

I read on twitter that she holds a degree as a computer engineer now. Is that true?

I knew she was doing something related to computers... and I thought it was related to music. But I don't know. She did say she wants to use what she learned in university in her future work, but was never specific as to what she learned/went to school for, or how she could use it.

according to http://www.sfc.keio....alumni/faq.html, starting of 2007 the English name of 環境情報学 has changed from "Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Information" to "Bachelor of Arts in Environment and Information Studies"

looks like they didn't bother to update the name lol

So in like 2010 or something, I became interested in jpop (because of Buono! from Shugo Chara) and looked at what was in the chart one week and chose random songs to listen to. I discovered Naoto Inti Raymi and used to always listen to his songs on youtube and it is so surreal to have Airi and one of his songs in the same commercial   Naoto Inti Raymi wasn't even famous back then

She'll keep working for a little while. Modeling contract and CM deal in hand she's not retiring in June.

Music is a really hard business. To make a living singing but with out the cash sidelines of being an idol I dunno...

I don't think it's really about the cash for Airi, though - she just loves to sing. And honestly, given the state of other former H!P member's solo careers under UF, none of them are making much, but are continuing to do their thing regardless. With UF's track record with soloists... I dunno what to think as to whether or not she'll be given the proper treatment to help her be successful. But UF's clearly making an effort - she already has a commercial/image contract with a large bank, she was on that singing show for like a whole year in 2015/2016 (not sure if she's still doing that or not, I don't think she is), and she's still got her Ray stuff as well. Once she's got less on her hands with C-ute being gone, she'll have more time for more things, so I'm hoping what's going on so far is a good indicator of what's to come. 

 

However, if Airi has to leave UF in order to have a better career, I wouldn't be surprised... Meimi had to, after all, and it's benefiting her so, I wouldn't be so worried about Airi possibly doing the same.

Doesn't matter what it's about for Airi. If the several companies can't make money, it won't be her career unless she's busking...

But as variety talent, or stage shows... well, people far less talented than Airi have made ends meet.

Some punk was harassing Airi about what sort of care she does in her private areas. Sometimes I'm happy that I'm a guy so I don't have to deal with jerks like that, but then I realize that because I'm a guy, I'm in the same group as jerks like that.
