Today is Reina's birthday.
She's only just turned 19, but she sent back a reply (to Yuko's birthday mail) saying, 'when I turn 20...'
She's like a cute little sister to me.

Good to see they still keep in touch, and maintain their friendship (if that's the right word for it lol...). I get the feeling that Yuko really means what she says about Reina, how Reina reminds Yuko of herself a lot, and this helps her feel closer to Reina than any of the other current Musume girls. Reina is the only one from the current lineup to have been invited to Yuko's home (not even Yossie, who was leader and had worked with Yuko in MM has been to Yuko's house, and was greatly surprised when Reina mentioned this and other episodes with Yuko on radio), and keeps in regular touch with Yuko. Eri, for example, is still said to be a little overwhelmed when in the presence of Yuko, and there is an episode from the wrap-up party for Haromoni@ written by a backstage crew that when the MC jokingly said Yuko was among the guests at the party Eri actually did a double-take and looked nervous at the mention of her name. And then, there's Reina who's been to Yuko's home, have takoyaki parties with her, keeps in regular touch with her, and apparently when Reina was hospitalised last year from fatigue, Yuko paid a visit to her in the hospital with a friend. I'm mostly a rokkies fan, and 'support' most of the rokkies couplings, but the Yuko-Reina combi is another that I have a special place for

Oh, in their radio appearance in Niigata (Koharu's hometown) together yesterday, Eri and Koharu said because they had to come out to Niigata for their radio schedule they hadn't had a chance to see Reina on her birthday but they both sent birthday mails to her, Eri being the very first one to send hers as she did last year. They also said they both had presents to give when they eventually get the chance to see her.
Sayu opened her KonUsaPi radio show yesterday commenting on Reina's birthday, and played Reina's solo number, 'Kira Kira Fuyu no Shiny G' as the opening song. AND Reina will be making a guest appearance on KonUsaPi next week!! (with Linlin~)
