I make sure nothing else is, and that it's the only program "running"(aside from the normal background stuff).something must be eating up your resources. that or windows is going Blah
Although it wouldn't surprise me if it was windows.
I'd like to think it's the drive and not windows.

Well, until recently it was about 2.3gig on my 120 gig WD Drive. BUT I got a new harddrive yesterday!
A Maxtor DiamondMax 10 250Gb 16Mb Cache 7200rpm ATA133. So I guess I have about 239gig free right now...
This drive is great! It doesnt get hot at all, and its got lightning fast data transfers, about 6-7 times faster than my old Western Digital 120GB 8MB Cache 7200RPM ATA100. And I also bought another Kingston 512meg DDR (PC3200 400MHz CL3), so now I have two, total of 1gig DDR Ram! Going to have some fun now... *goes to play warcraft*
Oh, and someone will live on noodles and water for a month... *hungy hungy santa simpson*

- 197GB free space
- I deleted tons of H!P-related stuff
- I didn't back them up because it's rather pointless to watch the videos after you've watched them more than 30 times.
- Pie is STILL better than cake.
- Blargh.

There you go.Speaking of that, my dvd drive is still acting up.... It's still taking WAY longer to burn the dvds. I'm really starting to think something is wrong with it. It's a 8X LITE-ON DVD+RW SOHW-802S.
*falls out of his chair laughing* I just pictured that.all this just reminded me i have my semi dead HD sitting in the refrigerator at work the past week :3

Comp1 C: 22.0 (149.0) (RAID 0, 2xSamsung 80G) [14.8% Capacity]
Comp1 F: 98.7 (111.0) [88.9% Capacity]
Comp2 C: 17.8 (149.0) (RAID 0, 2xSamsung 80G) [11.9% Capacity]
Comp2 D: 31.3 (111.0) [28.2% Capacity]
Comp3 C: 2.9 (12.6) [23.0% Capacity]
Total: 172.7 Gigs out of 532.6 Gigs [32.4% Capacity]
I felt bad for my brother since he was still running an old 233Mhz comp burning CD's at 2x and taking 5 mins to load up a web page, so when I built my last comp I went ahead and made "twins." However, after 2 months he went abroad and has been working there for a year now, so I've got them both on my desk (wish I had room on desk for third monitor or I wouldnt need the KVM).
That said, I have so much more space that needs tender luvin H!P care, so gimme gimme gimme!!!
I'm trying for that 1.0 d/l ratio but it's so hard...

agb~~ What are you guys downloading?!
biglush_23~~ Don'y worry, you'll get there. It just takes time. I remember when I was working hard to get a 1.0 ratio back when I first started coming here. Now I'm trying to hit 2.0, which is proving almost as difficult. Although actually a little more so, due to there being other ratio trackers around. When there wasn't back when I first joined. Hang in there, you'll get there eventually.
isamudyson~~ Oh hey, I found out what it is! It's in PIO mode.
So I'm going to try using the registry editor method from here.
I'd e-mailed Lite-On yesterday. This is the response I got back:
"Dear Sir or Madam,
We don`t have any information about this model name(SOHW-802S). Would you
please contact its actual vendor?
Because in their system there might be some settings made by them which is
unique and belong to their authority.
Best regards,"
Seriously that is the complete e-mail I got back...

pretty much anything that moves on this tracker (except for the older H!M's - I've yet to organize...).agb~~ What are you guys downloading?!
25% of JPS (got the stats to prove it )
TW variety shows from ydy - this is most time consuming as it's blocked by my ISP and 99% of the peers are in China.
Most of the kdramas of the month. I'm trying VERY hard to figure out why it's so popular ... not successful so far ...

I also need to record stuff but I'm still having that problem with my dvd+rw. Although it's now recording cds slowly too. I'm going to have to talk to HP tech support a third time.
