I decided to start this thread to help myself and others, with permission from Himalia (who also advised this thread to be placed in Hello! Project Agency).

Several times, I've found myself wondering if items have a first-press, and it can be really hard to find this information out. For example, I only found out recently that The Manpower!!! Single V came with a first-press photocard, and that was by chance from browsing eBay.

The idea of this thread is to help people who want to know about dfferent versions of a H!P related item.

If you have pictures, please post them, as this would be more helpful. Posting pictures isn't a must, though.

I will edit the post after this one with information other members have shared so people don't have to scroll through post after post, and will put a date and time at the top of my post of when it was last edited.

I will divide things into different categories. For example, I will use a heading 'Morning Musume'. Under this would be sub-headings, such as 'Single V' and 'CD'.

If you have any opinions or ideas on how this thread could be better to view, please post them I will post pictures of the items, and depending on the response to the pictures, I will either get rid of the pictures or keep them, so please post what you think of that idea.

If your after a particular item, use the 'Ctrl + F' function to type in the artist or part of the item name for a quick way to see if information on the item is posted here.

Morning Musume CD Albums

Second Morning Limited Edition - Limited Edition item is a photobook. There are 7 versions of the photobook, all containing different pictures, although some are very similar. You can tell the versions apart from the colour of the front cover and of the borders around the photos.



Ikimasshoi! Limited Edition - Limited Edition item is a poster.



No. 5 Limited Edition - Limited Edition items are a poster and a photo-booklet.



Ai no Dai 6 Kan Limited Edition - Limited Edition items are a poster and a photocard.



Sexy 8 Beat Regular Edition first press - First press items are 2 photocards.

Thought i would help with thread out since all of my cds are either FP or LTD !
i am posting the W albums !
First W.. Duo U&U
The First Press for this item is all that well known... and people know it as a "Booklet"
But it is a four fold mini booklet with four pictures on each side....
i have posted pictures as well as 2 gif's (an example of how they fold )

For the second album .. 2nd W
I beilive the item is first press... but this is the version...in this you get a box for the cd and 3 photocards...
i have posted pictures not much else really to post about this....
well i may post again with more soon !

Does this go for Maki Singles as well? Because I have a "Uwasa no Sexy Guy" single in a tin but it doesn't have a booklet inside it.

Yes the cd you speak of should have a booklet inside it. The booklet thingy is round and the same size as the cd.

@matt9210, I have the manpower single v with the photocard and some other cd's which are limited. I can post pictures after christmas, when I get back to normal . I have for example the Morning Town musical limited edition cd,

Can anybody tell me what Morning Musume Single Vs they know of that have a first press edition? So far, I am aware of:

Namida ga Tomaranai Houkago

And I think Onna ni Sachi Are.

Does anybody know if the Sexy Boy, Shabondama and Ai Araba Single Vs have a first press edition?

^ I have no idea if it's first press or if all have this, but the only thing that came with my Sexy Boy single V was a small sheet to learn some dance moves.
My Egao yes NUDE single V has a Mittsi card.
My Onna ni Sachi Are single V has a Morning Musume card.

Well for Mikan there was a separate lyric sheet that had it in the roman lyrics along with a member card. It was random throughout the different types:



And then for my SEXY 8 Beat I got two cards in mine.

I can't take pictures of it right now, but I have the limited edition of the Morning Musume 'Second Morning' album. It comes in a box case with a photobook. An interesting thing is that there are a few variations of the photobook. Depending on its color (I have the light blue though I know for sure there's also dark blue, red, yellow, purple, green), the pictures are all slightly different.

Thanks Chrisron. Mine came with a sheet teaching the dance moves too. Like you, I'm not sure if this is first press. Also, thanks for the Egao Yes Nude and Onna ni Sachi Are info. I saw Egao Yes Nude first press before, but forgot

These may help Haylee out i have the Green and Light blue ones though my light blue one is at the bottom of a box somewhere. Unfortunetly can't confirm if the pics are different in each.

The Mikan I have is the Limited Ed B CD with photobook.
