If you got a free trip to Japan....

15 October 2011 - 01:33 AM

Recently there have been several articles online about how Japan might be giving away 10,000 free flights to foreigners next year. It's apparently still under discussion, so it may not happen. If it does happen then people who win the free flights will be asked to blog about their trip so to help increase tourism, which has slowed since the earthquake/nuclear disaster this year.

In this thread, imagine you were someone who won one of the free tickets. Where would you go? What would you do? What would you see? What would you want to eat? Anything and everything that you might want to do if you got yourself a free trip to Japan.

Lehua Sandbo (Nahina)

Lehua's been pretty active lately, and since some of the other coconuts got their own threads, I figured Lehua could have hers as well.

Name: Lehua Nahina

Full Birth Name: Lehualani Ehukai Sandbo

Nicknames: Lehooker, Lehooters

Birthdate: February 7, 1983

Hometown: Haleiwa, Hawai'i

Blood Type: O

Favorite Color: Orange

Favorite Singers: Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Morning Musume

Favorite H!P Members: Iida Kaori, Yaguchi Mari

Lehua joined Coconuts Musume in 2000 at age 17 as the only member of the 2nd generation. She recorded three singles with the group (Tokunatsu Musume, Watashi Mo I Love You, Jounestu Yuki Miraisen) before she left in 2002. Throughout her stay in H!P she also participated in the shuffle units, Aoiro 7 and 7-nin Matsuuri. Shortly after leaving the group, Lehua won the "Miss Congeniality" award in the 2003 Miss Hawaii USA Pageant. From then, Lehua aimed to become a model, but not before marrying pro-surfer, Kapono Nahina (divorced in 2009) and giving birth to daughter, Kaianna Lehualani Nahina (I LOVE these Hawaiin names). Lehua is also attending college in hopes of becoming a Registered Nurse (but is recently thinking of switching to a major in Communications). In 2008, Lehua won the Mrs. Hawaii USA pageant and went to compete in the Mrs. United States pageant, which is the only televised beauty pageant for married women, in which she won "Most Photogenic". Most recently, Lehua has been modeling under Kathy Muller Agency. She also recently judged the Miss Hawaii USA Pageant.

Here is a short auto-biography that Lehua, herself, gave me through an email to fill in the gaps of the bio I wrote:

I left Japan back in 2001 because I wanted to come back to Hawaii to attend college & it because I was really homesick and missed my family and friends. My grandmother, who was considered "the rock" of my family, passed away that year on top of 9/11 happening around that same time. At that time in my life, all I wanted was to be back in Hawaii with my family. It was hard living in Japan because I couldn't really do anything on my own and I didn't have my friends nor my family with me outside of work. Even though the other girls in the group were always comforting, understanding, and nice, it was still really hard for me. I didn't really live a normal life there. I finally decided that I needed to graduate from the group and move back to Hawaii.

That summer that I returned back to Hawaii is the summer that I met professional longboarder, Kapono Nahina. I also started college that year on top of getting engaged, pregnant, and married soon after. Everything happened so quickly. At the 5 year mark of being married, I decided to get back into modeling & pageantry. Prior to that, I only received my Associates Degree and was a homemaker. Winning the Mrs. Hawaii United States Pageant & Mrs. Photogenic United States (in the National Pageant in Las Vegas) was a huge accomplishment for me. The title allowed me to meet new & inspiring people, touch lives, & also help me learn so much about myself as an individual. Unfortunately, my marriage to Kapono didn't last. I'd rather not discuss the details of why or what happened, but I would like everyone to know that we are still close, civil, and friendly because it was a mutual decision and because we know that it's important for Kaianna's sake. Our families are still really close and we try to get together as much as we can. We tell everyone that we are still a family, but a family that has changed. Kaianna is doing amazing in school, hula, and tahitian. She is 7 1/2 years old today (born on Feb. 4, 2004)...3 days before my birthday! Haha! She is beautiful, happy, and extremely loved!

As for me, I am currently dating the most recognized name in the entertainment, promotional, and marketing industry here in Hawaii. He is the owner/operator of Rick Rock Productions. You can add him on Facebook or follow him on Twitter. We have been dating for a couple of years now...it's been great to have a partner who can relate to me, understand me, and push me to be better in this business and as a person. I like to keep my personal life and business life separate, hence the limited information I post on the internet. Thank you for respecting that.

I am focusing on my website at the moment...trying to build up my fan base here in Hawaii. This year, I plan on launching the "store" section on www.lehuanahina.com and also plan on doing more appearances...would love to one day coordinate something with Mika and possibly take a trip back to Japan with her as well. I also work for one of Hawaii's top plastic surgeon's (which I absolutely love). I have always been pro-active when it comes to health and inner+outer beauty...it feels so rewarding to help other people feel and look better from the inside out. I have two more years of college left, but will most likely switch from a nursing major to communications...it's more relevant to my lifestyle now. I have projects lined up for the next couple of months, but cannot disclose yet. I will always keep everyone updated via www.lehuanahina.com, Facebook, Twitter, and/or Tumblr.

Since we found Lehua on Twitter, she's been talking with everyone and answering questions about the befores and afters of H!P. Through all those tweets, I'm sure we'll be able to keep this thread alive. She does seem to have things going on all the time, even if she's not releasing anything like some of the other ex-members. But, she HAS just opened up an official website: lehuanahina.com and an official blog. She's also on Facebook but can only accept a certain amount of friends, so she also has a fan page you can like.

You can send all fan mail to:

She also has uploaded a YT video saying Hi to all her fans.

Angel Hearts

13 October 2010 - 05:05 AM

I'm wondering if this is the right area for this, but I couldn't find another Angel Hearts thread anywhere.

Basically, I know nothing about this other than it was a drama(?) back in the early of the decade and featured some of our girls. That's about it. ^^; So, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me anything more about this and possibly give links to watch it. (Preferably subbed, but raw is cool).

Who all was in it? What was it about? That kinda stuff, if you don't mind. ^_^
