The Hello! Project Vending Machine

27 May 2016 - 01:03 PM

Since we have a fun n' games thread now, I thought we'd bring this back! To quote lala from her thread,

Basically, you insert a coin or an object (of your choice) into the H!P vending machine the next person to post decides what you get and then they insert a coin or object (of their choice) and so on. If you want you can also post a picture of the prize the above person got from the H!P vending machine. Items must be H!P related.

EXAMPLE:

Person A: -Inserts a yellow star-

Person B: You got Takahashi Ai 11th Photobook 'Katachi'

-Inserts coin-

Person C: You got Rock'n Buono! 3 1st row concert tickets to all shows

...and so on

I'll start!

-inserts quarter-

Hello!Online fan age compendium

07 December 2015 - 05:30 AM

I was reading the "Oldest fan here?" thread and noticed that many people wanted to share their ages, may they be old, young, or in between. Some users mentioned creating a thread dedicated to determining what the most common/average age is for H!O members. I thought I'd bring this idea to life! Selections in the poll are based on fixed birth year rather than fluctuating actual ages.

I know we have a wide range of users from all backgrounds and walks of life. I cast my vote- how about you?

2016 Hopes and Dreams

05 December 2015 - 02:37 PM

It's that time of year again. As 2015 comes to a close, reflect on the year. What are your wishes for 2016?

Hopes:

- Meimi graduates to become the Takarazuka star she was born to be

- MM'16 successfully rebounds after the loss of their ace

- Another MMxANGERME stage play/musical

- 13ki audition - 1-2 new members, one having that talented it-girl factor

- STOP THE WHITE OUTFITS 2k16

- 12ki members begin to find their place/talent

- more creative concert setlists

- Miyabi's unit is formed with older members (~16/17/18)

- more photobooks, but with fewer bikini shots

- end Cool! Hello-themed t-shirts

Dreams

- Sketch comedy show a la AKB's Bimyo~

- Drama a la Suugaku Joshi Gakuen

- H!P members have more leniency with social networking and are allowed to get YouTube/Twitter/Instagram/Google+ accounts for fans if they'd like

- Decreased use of crop tops in costumes, especially for singles (60% of the time they are incredibly ugly)

Niji no Conquistador (aka Conquistador del arcoíris) is an idol unit created by Tsuku-dol! Project this July. Tsuku-dol! Project is an organization that aims to raise idols, voice actors, illustrators, cosplayers, and creators. They are assisted by powerful creators from various fields: music written by Ken’ichi Maeyamada, choreography by Natsumi Takenaka (PASSPO☆, UPUPGIRLS KARI), costume design by Mel Kishida, creative direction from Maiko Fukushima, and special advising by Seiji Mizushima. Tsuku-dol! Project comes from the online illustrator communication service pixiv. As of February 2014, pixiv had over 10 million memberships and boasts 3.4 billion PVs per month. Despite the long held belief that fans of 2D (anime, manga, games) and 3D (idols) have trouble getting along, they have united to become potential fans of this group.

(Thanks TokyoGirlsUpdate for the synopsis)

The group is currently in collaboration with pixiv.  Their new song, "Pixiv Ondo," is the official song for the website's "illustration matsuri"; in the video, the girls are seen walking around and goofing off in the event's venue.

Rhetorical Devices in Hello! Project Songs

07 October 2014 - 04:41 PM

I didn't really know where to put this XD

I am doing a rhetorical devices project in my AP English class.  We are required to make a video using song lyrics that employ rhetorical devices.  My teacher, surprisingly, really wanted me to use J-Pop songs.  I have around eight examples; does anyone have any?  They must be A-sides that have been released in the last ~1 1/2 years, since they have the English lyrics on the bottom.  And also, I'm kind of a grammar nerd so it might be interesting to keep this thread open!
