You all have to remember that this is a completely unknown person to all of us (unless you know Mari Nakamura personally). In Japan, personal and professional lives are strictly divorced, and even in the toughest of times you are expected to smile, make no complaints, and work as if nothing has happened. We can surmise how Mari, growing up in extraordinary circumstances as an idol, might very well have had personal problems for a long time. Perhaps only now, as she is getting 'older' by Japanese standards, have these problems become so severe that they have resulted in a serious scandal. For all we know, Mari might never have been happy with her marriage, and got married largely due to pressures from family and society. It is certainly even possible that no one has known her problems very well until now, or perhaps only her husband, family or closest friends did. I am not making any guesses, I just hope to evince how little we actually know. 

Infidelity is a truly horrible thing and I think it warrants certain circumstances to occur. We cannot know these circumstances, so let's not condemn Mari. I think we can agree on that she's being doing well in her professional life - let's leave it at that.
