Just watched MAMA 2011 Singapore. I barely recognized Taeyon :(
Still don't like The Boys, but their intro to The Boys at MAMA was really, really cool. It had a heavy-metal-like riff and tribal drum beat which they were dancing to. That intro (together with the blacked eyed peas + CL collab.) were the best part of MAMA for me hehe.

I adore SNSD, of course. Taengoo is my top female Idol along with Nono. ♥

Is there any consensus on who is the most popular member on this forum or in Korea? Or is it popularity more or less spread evenly?
Taeyeon is by far my fav in SNSD too... saw a ranking for Japan some time back (based on mixi sites I think), Yoona was ranked first and Taeyeon 2nd.

From what I've read, it seems people are judging the entire album based on the title track. They express disappointment without having listened to the full album yet.

I haven't seen evidence of that here... people are judging the promo track, nothing more, nothing less.
Also, wanted to add that disappointment comes from positive expectations. The disappointment you see here is because ppl were expecting something good, which shows the people in here (to varying degrees) are excited about SNSD. In HP terms, if momusu released "The Boys" as a promo back in 2000 I'd be disappointed, if they released it today my reaction would be "meh".

I am surely not into this one. Maybe because I am a shameful weaboo and can't stand english..but whatever I don't like it. :bad:

I prefer the Korean version... not understanding the lyrics in this case is actually a plus imo :P

And I didn't see any reference to the whole "Disney princesses" thing that was in the teasers. What was the point?

Yeah kinda strange decision to do that.
Anyone else think the intro sounded more interesting than the actual song? It's not that I don't like this style of music (I like some after school and 4minute songs), the actual song itself is kinda flat.
