one note - the H!M episode before that (2006.01.22) had the Gourmet Restaurant episode with Speed Wagon. Mame's attempt was pretty cute. AMAIIIII!!

all the expressions are priceless, but have to say, two are just to die for
- the one on the top row, fourth from left (her palm on her cheek)
- the one right just below it
those two expressions make me fall in love with her, over and over again

760 L-sized Mama photos Dayumm ..

Gonna spend a small fortune when I go there in a few weeks.

no prob. FYI, there were only around 20 pieces of Mame old photos at the Trio2 shop when i went today (i, of course, already have them. if not, i'd have bought them! ). compared to other H!P members photos, that's almost like having no photos. other members had more than one pile of photos (>100 on average). i guess she's very popular or Mame fans just don't wanna sell their collection.
i hope they'll restock by the time you come visit, but i'm not sure

great collage of expressions. to be honest, after seeing the collage, the first hought that came to my mind was that there's too little! there are just so many of her expressions to come to mind, thousands of expressions! it just goes to say how much Mame deserves the title of the "Queen of Expressions"

i pretty much buy every single Mame photo in existence!

how many are there, then? or how many do you have?

actually, i really should say that "i pretty much try to buy every single Mame photo in existence!"
after you posted, i went back and counted the photos in my files (last time i counted was end of last year).
firefly's collection of UFA official photos (as of 10 June 2007):
(i) Mame: L-size - 760, Postcard-size - 63, 2L-size - 32
(ii) Mame with others: L-size - 120, Postcard-size - 3, 2L-size - 1
(iii) Others: L-size - 563, Postcard-size - 19, 2L-size - 65

hmm, looks like i haven't reached the 1000 pieces point yet for Mame photos. I'm surprised how much photos of "Others" i have, which are mostly of Nacchi, Captain Saki, Maimi, Airi, Aichan & Konkon.

i've already at peace with the reality that i will never get ALL Mame photos in existence, and just collect as much as i can. the reasons why i can never get a FULL set:
- most new photos are sold at H!P stores. most are sold in singles but some are only sold with an item you must buy, which is usually much more expensive than the JPY150 price for a photo.
- H!P stores sometimes have lucky draws for photos, if you buy over a certain amount. you may get the member you want. if not, you have to try trading or buy at resellers, which are usually much more expensive.
- certain photosets are shop exclusive, i.e some photosets can be only be bought at certain shops. Needless to say, for someone in Tokyo like me, i cannot buy photos at the Sendai or Kyoto or Osaka shops. if i'm lucky, some may appear at the reseller shops here, and even if they do, they're marked up crazy!
- there are of course concert or event photos. some photos are venue-exclusive, which means they can only be bought at the venues (in some cases, specific stops of the tour). it is pretty much impossible for me to attend all tour stops, so i have to rely on trading or reseller shops
- some concert photosets are sold as random (you don't see beforehand what you get), thus you have to rely on trading. some photos will be rare, thus hard to trade or more expensive.
- only became a H!P fan a year ago. eventhough i've got quite a good collection of her old photos, there are definitely more out there. i buy most of her past photos of reseller shops (like the Trio2 shop in Nakano) & they get it from fans who are willing to sell their collections. needless to say, there are plenty of old loyal Mame fans out there who have not sold their collection.

i guess the gist of all the above is basically.. i'm poor! can't afford to buy all the items to get the photos. can't afford to buy all those rare photos at the resellers. so, basically now, i just buy as much as i can. if i had to make a wild guess, i've probably got about 70% of all of Mame's official photos in existence, which isn't too bad
so, ppl, if you wanna start collecting H!P photos, don't think you will get the whole set. buy within your budget, and just enjoy the collecting experience, and of course, the beautiful photos

this pic is just so dreamy when cuyi first posted it, i was wondering why i didn't see this at the H!P store the other day (i pretty much buy every single Mame photo in existence! ). then i read the line at the bottom and it says "Medal Strap", which means that it's a photo you only get if you buy the item. went to the H!P store this morning, and sure enough there it was. The medal strap (which i didn't really want) cost a whopping JPY1000, but the photo was too cute to resist that i had to buy it UFA is seriously going to bankrupt me!

It's really nice! I think JunJun looks much older and mature in it, as opposed to her usual "baby-faced cuteness" At first, I didn't believe it was her

this was the photo she posted on her now-inactive blog. yeah, at first when i saw it, i thought it was just one of the default photos on the blog site, but when i looked closer, it really was her. stunning

went to the H!P store today and bought JunJun's very first H!P store official UFA photo (her very first official UFA photo is from the New Members concert -http://www.helloproj...utai/index.html). this particular photo had to be bought with an item, in this case, a medal strap costing JPY1000, thus more expensive than the usual JPY150. but i just couldn't resist such a cute photo

god, she's so dreamy
