@sludge : I guess she's been wearing jeans more often now, but she definitely doesn't wear t-shirts as of any recent shows. It'd be nice to see her wearing normal clothes, but I guess you can't really do that on the variety shows she's on. (And she just luurrvves to wear those really loose dresses, I'm guessing her motive is she wants to look bigger?) And yeah, I definitely missed that hairband style of hers, but I've always preferred long hair.
LOL, what's the agenda on yaguchimari.org? I haven't visited there in ages(*scolds self* bad Mari fan!), have to drop a visit sometime soon.

^^Is that episode around 2004? I only remember she did it at the Haromoni Kouen scene(or did she?). Yeah, I'm definitely not helping.

All of the pictures in Chicchai Yaguchi Mari no Dekkai Anata ni Ai ni Iku noda are like gold. I particularly like the one where she wears the kimono in the end & she wrote something along the lines of "Afterall, I guess I like Japan the best?"....
Argh, can't seem to find the pic right now. The only time you're actually looking for it is the only time you can't find it.

Yaguchi Mari's fake "surprise wake-up call"!

^Here, I rewatched it & did a quick translation.

Yuko : "Ah~~, this a peaceful town..."
Mari : "Senpai."
(Yuko looks around & pretend it's nothing)
Mari : "Senpai! I'm right here!"
Yuko : "Yaguchi!....san. Since when were you here??"
Mari : "I've always been here!" (starts crying incoherently)
Yuko : "But...but...but...you were too small, I didn't knew! Gomennasai! Gomennasai!"
Mari : "Yada! Yada! Yada! Just apologizing is not enough!"
(Mari throws a tantrum on the floor and wants Yuko to do a game for kids called "Inai Inai Baba"(?). To which Yuko refused to do, but in the end agreed to get Mari to stop, well, rolling on the floor.)

After Yuko does it, Mari keeps repeating "One more time! One more time!". And then said "Haha! Mama's so funny!". To which Yuko responds by hitting her and saying "I'm not your mama! I don't remember giving birth to you!".

Argh, I finally tried Veoh. (See! I can get past my laziness! Well, for now. ) But when I try uploading, it gets stuck.
I tried waiting, tried reuploading, but Veoh just does not like me. I'll try with the next computer I can find.

Yeah, I have a laptop, but the connection at campus is just so slow, I wanna kill myself. (Again, too lazy to go all the way to the computer lab. )

Btw, I can upload the original files for you rather than you downloading from Youtube. As I've offered before, just say the word dude. And, the video I mentioned in the post above was the one I told you I was working on. So yeah, no luck.

I should've asked this at yaguchimari.org but I keep getting these "server cannot be found" messages. But that probably has something to do with my computer rather than your site though. Plus I'm spending less and less time online(getting settled in college, I'm forced to live on campus eventhough my house is just a 20-minutes-drive away, it's ridiculous.)

I finally got around to uploading some of the old vids back on Youtube.

The video's a cut of Mari's segment with Kei-chan on Fake-Off Kanzennaru Soukanzu(also co-hosted by Gekidan Hitori). Does anyone remember this?



And here's a transcript of my weak translation(and now rendered useless) of the clip.

This show investigates whether their guests have the "claimed" relationships with whoever they chose to be featured on this show. I only made a cut of Mari & Kei's part where Mari claims her relationship with Kei-chan are as "best friends".
Her other claims were:
Doumoto Koichi (from comedian duo Jichou Kachou) - "The guy who likes me"
Aragaki Yui - "Mail-friend"
Iwasa Mayuko - "Older sister"
Gekidan Hitori - "A person I could rely on"

Gekidan Hitori: "Here, you've both been in Momusu..."
Mari: "Yes, we've been together ever since the audition, we've never even had a single fight."
GH: "What do you guys do for fun?"
Mari: "I would go out to eat with the graduated members. With Nakazawa Yuko, Abe Natsumi, Iida Kaori. We would just go out around 5-6 people & we'd definitely eat out at least twice in a month."
GH: "What do you guys talk about?"
Mari: "Lately, marriage talk is the no. 1 topic I guess. Since Yuu-chan is turning 34 this year, but she'll get mad if we mention her age..."
GH: "By the way, Yaguchi-san, what's your age?"
Mari: "I'm 24. Please remember that properly."
GH: "Yes, I knew. So gradually you've been thinking about marriage?"
Mari: "Yeah, I want to get married."
GH: "But thinking about Yagucchan giving birth, it's just unbelievable."
Mari: "But I do want to!"
GH : "I can't think of it coming out from THERE."
Mari: "Please stop it! Don't say weird things..."
GH: "I just can't think of you being able to make another person..."
Mari: "I'm perfectly fine. My mom even gave birth to me when she was younger than I am now. She gave birth to me when she was 23."
GH: "Now, returning back to the topic of Yasuda Kei-san.."

They fixed up Kei-chan's friend Nakamura Sakura (who's a model), to ask her out for karaoke and casually ask about her relationship with Mari.

Mari had to comment when Kei-chan started dancing a little too hard to Koi no Dance Site...
Mari: "Kei-chan, that's dangerous!! Kei-chan! Kei-chan! Why am I the one embarassed by this??".
LOL.

So, Sakura finally got the chance to ask...
Sakura: "Kei-chan, who are you close to in Haropuro?"
Kei: (laughs) "Why do you want to ask about that? The ones I always go out with are Yuu-chan...Kaorin...Ah! I always go out with Yaguchi too, I forgot an important person."
Mari: "See, see! Important person!"
Sakura: "What kind of a person is Yaguchi-san?"
Kei: "Exhibitionist?" [Thanks to Kyoukichi for this translation tip. ]
Mari: "Who? Who? Me??"
Kei: "Since we're all girls, so we always change clothes together. But everyone still felt a little embarassed eventhough we're all girls, so after we change our top then only we change our bottom or the like. But only Yaguchi is like, I've taken off my top! I've taken off my bottom! 'Iya~~, it's really hot here!' and goes wandering around just like that."
Sakura: "For you, what kind of relationship do you regard of Yaguchi-san?"
Kei: "Eee! What kind of relationship? That's hard. But I regard her as like family already."

So, Mari wins this bout with Kei-chan regarding her as "family" while Kei-chan gets off with the "best friend" title. FYI, she lost with Doumoto Koichi regarding her as "a woman of my past" as he lost interest in her, and Gekidan Hitori regarding her as just a "colleague".
But previously before asked, he admitted that Mari is the closest female celebrity friend he ever had, and might even be the closest female friend he has. To which Mari just nods casually as if she's not surprised. =P
