There are those who work well under pressure, those who don't, and then there are people like me, who pretty much -only- work under pressure. The messed up part? It's not a matter of laziness - just priorities. If something needs doing, I'll do it. But if it can wait, it probably will because there's most likely something I'd rather be doing. I've tried working with no pressure before, and not only does it take forever to get anything done, but the quality of work is lackluster at best. Yet when the heat is on, I get things done quickly and do them well. I guess they call that being "externally motivated."
