Magical Punchline (Majipan) was born from the strong will of former Idoling!!! member Sato Rena (now Majipan's leader) to continue perform as an idol after the disbandment of Idoling!!!. She personally involved in the creation of the group, ranging from: searching and auditioning for new members, creating the concept, designing the costume, etc.

 

The concept of the group is 'girl's fantasy'. They are students of a magical school called 'Tiger's Gate' in a fictional world. It's like a blend of Harry Potter (which Satorena is a big fan of), Dragon Quest series's fantasy roleplaying game world, and legendary mythology, which then characterized their girly and pop 5 member witch apprentice fantasy group.

 

The art designer is Yuu Kikuchi (YUU菊池) who worked as an illustrator on Final Fantasy series, Kingdom Hearts series, and Granblue Fantasy.

 

Sato Rena is also involved in costume design. They chose to shy away from the typical black robe for magician, and instead bring on colorful girly theme, and also blend in the style of girl's fashion magazine 'LARME' which Satorena is a regular model of. The members each take on their individual pastel colors with Satorena continuing to use purple color from her Idoling!!! years.

There will be a total of 6 songs. At the moment they've only released the preview version of 'Magiかよ!? BiliBili☆パンチライン'.
