I haven't seen a thread like this for this year yet. 2020 for the most part seem up in the air me as far a predictions go, most of my 2019 were wrong.

 

Last year - Correct in Green, Crossed Out for Wrong, and Debatable in Gold

 

2020 Predictions/Hopes

H!P

- No auditions with no results

 

Morning Musume

- I hope this new single marks a change in sound/line distribution for the current line-up

- At least 2 singles 

- I don't expect anyone to graduate this year

 

Angerme

- Only one new member from the addition

- I hope I'm wrong, but since they seem to rotate who gets only one single in a year, I think this might be a year when they get only one

- They'll do a musical

 

Juice=Juice

- They'll probably get another hall tour

- even more new members

 

Kobushi Factory

- A joint tour with Tsubaki Factory

- At this point, I don't think they'll add more people to the group

- No graduations

- I don't see them returning to their original rock sound

- More a cappella performances on Youtube

 

Tsubaki Factory

- I hope they can get their momentum back

- Since they are having a January release, I think their next single will come out in June and I hope they have something at the end of the year.

- Let this be they year that they finally get a hall tour

 

Beyooooonds

- Their first live was was bigger than KF's first hall tour, so I'm guessing they'll officially get one of those.

- they'll continue to sell 100k+

This year has just about come to an end so its peculation time. Next year seems like it'll be pretty unpredictable with three new groups possibly debuting together and with a number of graduations coming too. I want to see what other people think is going to happen.

 

Last year

 

Predictions:

 

Morning Musume

- I think they are going to add new members. (They don't really have anything else going on except the usual releases)

- This is more of a hope but I want to see them move away from EDM and bring back the choruses in their songs

- I also don't think that Haruna is going to be the only person to graduate next year

 

Angerme

- They seem to be changing their sound and image towards being more fashionable with more fun songs so I think they'll keep following that trend

 

Juice=Juice

- I think they'll continue focusing of tours

 

Kobushi Factory

- Unless their sales see a dramatic increase, I still see them adding new members since that's H!P solution to a lot of their problems

 

Tsubaki Factory

- Another anime tie-in

- Maybe a drama or movie tie-in

- Since they didn't get one this year, I expect they get a hall tour next year

- I think they'll have a single that out-sells Teion Yakedo

- No member changes

- 2 singles (and they will both be full of bops)

 

Beyooooonds

- Won't make any expectations for this/these group/s since they haven't even finalized the lineup

The year is almost over and post-13th gen seems like a good time to start this thread again 

 

Hopes:

 

H!P in general

- They keep up the high quality MVs

- They get better at promoting each girl's strengths in general (or at least the stand outs)

- No new groups next year

- sub H!P Station

- More creative photo-books in general (at least for the more popular members)

-More magazine covers for individual members

-H!P gets a show that doesn't include the non-H!P groups

 

Morning Musume

- 13th gen prove me wrong and find a way to stand out (kind of got my hopes of Reina)

- Ayumi gets more acting work and step up from specials to full length dramas (or at least a few episodes)

- More modelling work for members, especially W Haruna, but it'd be good to see Maria do more too

- They find the direction they want MM to go music wise

- W Haruna and Haruka gets to do more variety

- We get an album next year

- More overseas concerts

- We get more singles with Maria/Haruka/Ayumi centers

 

C-ute

- They kill it at SSA

- Get a good bye single to be remembered as the hallmark of grad singles.

- make a 10th studio album

 

Country Girls

- They bounce back from the drop in sales

- They add people capable of filling the whole that Momoko will leave (it doesn't have to be on person)

        - I'm guessing it'll be one of the following: Momohime, Takase Kurumi (unless they miraculously change the age of MM auditions which would be better), Ayano

- They get to do more TV work

 

Tsubaki Factory

- The debut MVs beat the standard set by Hitorijme 

- The last song for their debut is much more memorable than the first 2

- They get promoted properly

- Several members get to go into modelling because this is definitely a visual group

- Their debut sells at least 30k

- They do a musical with all nine of them

- H!P give them better styling (the only one I really don't like is the just try outfits so for now it doesn't seem impossible)

- They adopt C-ute's stylist after they leave

- They figure out what sound they want TF to go for (and fingers crossed its something closer to Nogi46 since that would suit TF well)

 

 

I don't really follow the other groups anymore since there are too many so I don't have anything for them
