Last Friends tackles issues that afflict the current generation. Michiru's mother has brought a man back to their home and she is bullied at her workplace where she works as a beauty parlour assistant. She starts cohabiting with her boyfriend, a good young man who works at the Child Welfare Division and the only person who can give her emotional support, but ends up the victim of domestic violence and becomes fearful of love. The boyishly charming Ruka was a classmate of Michiru's in junior high school. She has performed brilliantly as a motocross racer and aims to win the national championship, but as the story progresses, a deep worry that she can neither confide in her parents or close friends grows evident. Takeru is a hair and makeup artist acquainted with Ruka. He is a good confidant to females due to his kindness and perceptiveness, and finds himself attracted to Ruka but has a phobia of sex as a result of a past trauma. The three of them become house mates and through their associations with others, gain the capacity to be positive about life.

Very serious and sad yet sophisticated drama. Quite disturbing in some part and the ending waaa Juri-san!!! why oh why?! anyways still good to watch very nice acting, ive been waiting for some serious drama these couple of months and now its here! very nice opening too and i think it will be an award winning drama.

Well, the abusive boyfriend thing with Ryo makes me kinda sad BUT, at least he can do a variety of different characters !
Haha, anyway, it seems like an incredibly plot-twisty drama and it seems really interesting!
I'm going to guess its going to be a rather sad ending however, because of the beginning with the "we might not meet again" thing BUT I wanna see how it turns out!
Cant wait till episode 2 is out subbed~

Just finished Ep3, all I can say is that I'm hooked. Ashi no ura totally rocks in this one, dont like his character though
This drama is my favorite this season, a cast full of my favs, a kinda boring but serious plot and nice characters...I like it how they keep us guessing whats going on with the characters, but Michiru's thoughts at the beginning of each ep kind of spoil the fun of guessing whats going on with the chars...cant get used to seeing something from the end/middle of the plot at the beginning and then seeing what kind of events lead to that. Well, might just live with that.
Is it just me or did the end of Ep3 kinda leave you there sitting with only one thing on your head? "Wtf?!"
Aaaand...is it just me again or does Juri look strange with short hair like this?
