Sad to see that Morning Musume is too small to do a shuffle like Otome&Sakura again. I hope that they can one day! (Maybe if 9th gen is big?). Haha I really love Sakura Gumi..

^ I haven't checked any of the links yet, But when I get the chance I want to try and watch that! I haven't see too many TV Show appearances/interviews of the Gumis.

I thought first that Muten Musume was going to become something like Sakura/Otome Gumi but when it included all members I got other thoughts

now with the 9th gen there is a slight chance otome and sakura can be revived.
i'm hoping for sakura: takahashi, risa, kanon, erina - otome: reina, sayu, aika, riho, mizuki

^ I agree with most of that but I think you should switch Kanon and Mizuki (Kanon is more energetic and would fit genki songs like Otome's, and Mizuki seems like a quiet and elegant girl so she would suit Sakura better IMO)

^same thought as mine! I think Mizu has that bit of softness that Sakura has. I hope they split again for a concert. The two songs for both groups are so wonderful not to bring them back now and then.

But. It wouldnt be the same thing without Nacchi, kago, yossie and Yaguchi in sakura gumi and miki, iida, rika and makoto in otome.

then I would like a new name of the splits.

You know I was watching Sakura Gumi perform Sakura Mankai and as I was watching the begining I got confused because I never seen these dance moves beofre and I realized something. The few times that Sakura Mankai has been sung, the girls are walking during almost the entire song. The only time they really dance is during the chorus. I wish that someday it will be sung with the whole dance



alright scratch that. Just saw another version where they do the dance...but not the begining. Does that count for something? '

Otomegumi's 2004 concert still holds it's place on my list of top 5 favorite MoMusu concerts.
Ah....re-watching it makes me soooo happy!

The skit was hilarious too. Especially Tsuji and Mikitty's slow-mo fight with Makoto.
(Makocchin in a school-girl outfit with glasses is definitely a plus too. Way too cute! )

I'm glad to hear good things about the concerts! I just bought both of them online and was really looking forward to them. Its got alot of the old gen members so I was pretty sure it would be amazing.

Yay now im even more excited. also, as Im a Tsuji fan otomegumi was my fave of the 2, but I love the singles from both groups

The grouping of personalities in Otomegumi created something awesome. I mean, look at the backstage video that Tsuji took during this H!M (it starts @ 10:05 in):

Absolute Otome-insanity! So fun!
Tsuji yelling, "Sorry for interrupting" at the top of her lungs to finally stop them from playing their game (which they don't until they feel like it LOL!)
She has to get Kaori's attention, and then Iida's like, "We're playing a game right now" *puts hand in front of camera*

Then she asks Iida what Otome's main charm point is, and Kaori said that "the games are fun". hahaha!
It's very seldom that you see Tsuji as the calmest one in the group!

Otome is seriously one of my fav MM sub-units.

I really liked Sakura Gumi & Otome Gumi but I became more fond of Sakura Gumi,their song Sakura Mankai was my favorite I really like songs with the traditional Japanese touch.I loved the up beat and rockish sound of Otome Gumi but it just didn't really catch my attention.
I wished these groups didn't have to disband

I hope they hold a 15th anniversary concert for MM this September where we get to see them perform again. And darn it I just now realized why I wanted Risa to graduate in the Fall. She could've graduated with the 15th anniversary concert.

Rumours say that in 11th will be 3 - 6 members. I'm so excited if history with division will repeat. I have been involved into MoMusu World by Sakura Mankai 4 years ago and it's my all-time favorite song, and all Sakura Gumi's members are my top-loved (duck syndrome? lol).
