in terms of effects, it is as morbid or as creepy as the game; the enemy characters except dahlia, were brought to the film greatly and impressively(the enemies are from the enemy lineup of Silent Hill 1 up until Silent Hill 4)
in terms of story, it kinda disappointed me: the story is basically this: it is much like Silent Hill 1 (game from PS1) except you remove Harry Mason (the protagonist of the game) and replace him with a HER, a mother named ROSE (it's kinda lame :c06: ) and change the name of Cherry to Sharon (like Sadako to Samarah)
the story basically flows in the good ending format of the ps1 game with a lame twist
but if you haven't played the game in the 1st place, it would surely be a treat for you guys
I say it was a nice attempt to bring another japanese goodness to the american culture but sorry to break it to you guys, it was disappointing for me

I loved the Silent Hill games, but the movie was a huge bust.

I have never played the games, but I LOVE the movie! I can watch it every time it's on tv or I play my dvd. Seriously, the movie is basically flawless
The second part was also good, but not as good as the first.

I hope it's as good as the game!
