Announced back in Mid-December, Tsubaki Factory is releasing their 3rd studio album, 3rd -Moment- on February 21nd!

Album digest. Unfortunatly, none of the new songs are previewed outside of the ones they already performed live. Atashi Rythm is sooooo good, though.

Power Flower live performance on this week Hello Sta. Yeah i really don't like it. It's generic cool vibe song number 6999. Unless i just missed her line, Yuumi seems to be the only one without a solo?

It's the opposite for me. I think I even love it more now that I've seen the live version. Well, the girls sound out of breath most of the performance but I really love the chorus. It's also very different from what they usually do. Marin was soooo cute during her solo line. She really gave everything! Shiori voice is really my favorite. Mizuho and Mao were also giving everything for the performance.

 

Yeah, Yuumi doesn't have a solo line. For Demo Ii yo it was Shiori but here it's Yuumi. :/ I assume she'll Inherit Kiso's line in few months.

The girls ranked #5 so we have no idea how much they sold. We'll get a better idea with Billboard first 3 day sales.

Riko's second solo = Mao
Yumeno's solo = Kisora.

Well, that's a surprise. Despite not ranking hugh and barely promoting the album, it actually sold 5k more than the previous one. A bit more than 20k on Oricon and a bit more than 22k on Billboard. Congrats !!!

need to listen to the new songs. Skipping the grad songs, I am not a fan of these kind of solo songs mostly (especially ballads)

Some comments:

 

Atashi Rhythm / Shichibuzaki no Tsuzuki / Summer Challenger are nice but a bit forgettable to me

EZPZ and Stay Free & Stay Tuned can be really funny during live performances.

Amayadori no Epilogue is a BANGER! My second favorite track of the album. 

Flower Power will be in my top 3 H!P songs of 2024. Can't get over the chorus. I love every single part of it: intro, rap parts, pre-chorus chorus...

 

Also, really happy to see that the sales are getting better and better.

My comments:

 

Power Flower: The intro makes me want to keep the song, but the chorus saves the song. I agree with Yumeki in Produce 101 Japan The Girls: the first 5 seconds will determine whether the audiences want to continue to listen to the song or watch the performance or not. Had Kumi-chan not given any appreciation on it, I'd rank this song last for sure. Therefore, I'll give it 5/10.

Shichibuzaki no Tsuzuki / Amayadori no Epilogue: They will be my most favorite Tsubaki songs in this album

EZPZ: Also my favorite song, pretty upbeat.

Stay Free & Stay Tuned: Not my cup of tea, but not too bad either.

Atashi Rhythm: Decent, but no hook and it's not considered top Tsubaki song.

Summer Challenger: NOPE

My opinion:

 

All the new songs are superb. Takui and Kouga give it all with their songs.

Finally some time to review the new song :

 

Power flower : Still generic and lame.

Stay free and stay tuned : Probably gonna be fun for concerts, but don't really care about it.

Saki no tsudzuki : Didn't like when it was revealed, still don't like it now. It's like a souless version of Tsubaki's original concept.

EZPZ : Decent, but nothing exceptional or very memorable.

Summer Challenger : I know japanese fans like this song, personally i keep forgetting it exists.

Ameyadori : Still the best song of the album.

Atashi Rythm : Very catchy. 2nd best song of the album.

Kimi to boku no kizuna : Still can't believe this is the original version and they just did a lazy new line distribution for their ace grad single...

 

So yeah, easily their weakest album... Only 2 new songs are memorable and/or great. Huge waste of money and huge dissapointment.
