I agree. Aarii's popularity is at the bottom among J=J's old members (before Ichika, Risa and Kisaki addition). Ruru and Reirei alone cannot recover the loss from old members' graduation. Yume and Riai still have a long way to go, and new members are too new to set up a decent fanbase.

J=J needs some time to recover, and MM will dip in the same way J=J does if there's a mass graduation.

Weekly ranking #5: 38,936 copies sold.

The sales dips. This pattern may be the same as ANGERME. Unfortunately, the group cannot escape the fate of being the group with the lowest single sales. It's a good idea that the manager starts to promote Ichika, Risa and Kisaki, but it will be better if they start to promote both Sakura and Endo Akari. They focus on making Aarii the center recently (starting right after Karin's graduation) just because she has the longest tenure, but I think it's too late. She won't draw in new fans to recover the loss of fans from graduations at this stage.

I hope that the manager utilizes skills of new members more. They are the future of J=J.

It's unfortunate they have reached the slumps. The thing is J=J doesn't seem very interesting right now despite adding 5 new members over the past 2 years. I feel even Yume and Riai haven't really much developed their fanbase until recently. I think losing the core members over the past 3 years really didn't help.

Plus the quality of their single releases have been rather inconsistent, however, I think I really enjoy this new single so much more than the "Downtown" one (which is utter crap in every sense).
