This Morning Coffee ''Friends'' version makes me wonder if it could have been released in that style originally. Also, I wonder at how much input the arrangers have in the final Tsunku product. For me, this is a pretty different song than the original.

 

I love the easter eggs in the Leaders' song. Lalala no Pipipi for Sayu? 1-2-3 for Fukuchan?

I gathered all of the allusions to past hello project songs in WE ARE LEADERS... i didn't hear anything in fukuchan's verse

I’m pretty sure that the allusions during Mizuki’s part are the trumpets from Utakata Saturday Night and the strings from Jealousy Jealousy because I can hear those in the instrumental during her part of the song. Not sure if there’s anything else apart from those.

Thanks so much for the translation! I literally have just been listening to We Are Leaders over and over again because I love it so much. Comparing all he leaders voices and singing style and finding all the Easter eggs is so much fun. And since leaders are mainly based in age/tenure it’s slightly surprising and awesome how well the leaders can all sing (cough cough everyone just ignore Sayu. We accept her the way she is lol).

(Also side note the amount of coworkers who have messages/contacted me about the fact that MM will be at my work building is crazy. And I’m like “I’m glad you’re happy for me but you realize I’ll be AT WORK when they come and can’t see them right?” Lol)

It only just hit me as I was listening to We are leaders that i've been supporting morning musume for almost half my life and I literally age with the group (being born in '97). This overwhelming feeling of admiration and respect came over me, this group really is amazing. The little easter eggs throughout the song was so amazing! I really liked Ai's lines part the most and it only made me respect the platinum era members even more than I already do, their perseverance helped bring this group to 20 years.

The leaders track is a great storm of nostalgia I hopped on the train when Shabondama came out, so that song really took me there and made me realize how old I've gotten lol. I've been on this train for like half of my life.
