Awww, the guys can't find a date for Christmas. :whistle:    I think they are just mad 'cause some of their money has to be directed toward buying gifts instead of H!P DVD's!  ^^;

Christmas isn't really much of a family thing in Japan unlike the holiday they have for New Year the way it's marketed is more like Valentine's Day in the West with no real value other than buying gifts for your significant/crush/whatever and much like Valentine's Day makes you feel insignificant if you are single. Actually Christmas has gone that way in the West too but it still has a religious side to it XD. Japan has slowly absorbed Western holidays and turned them into commercial things Halloween not that long ago was non existent and now it's getting really popular. As funny as their whole protest is they sort of have a point. But without Christmas in Japan we'd never have the yearly Dakimakura photos where they have Christmas with their favourite character.

OK.. slight narrow minded point of view..
But to some or maybe many Asian..
They are not talking about a date on Christmas.. it is Christmas Eve..
I dunno about the western world but it is also know as the losing your virginity night or the one night stand night..
I think it got to do with the alcohol and celebration..
Quite honestly.. the ladies know it too..
So to be crude about it.. those guys just can't find a good lay.. and the ladies just don't want to get lay by them..
It is really not as simple or innocence as you may think .
those guys are actually looking for sex

^Japan has left out the three most important aspects of Christmas, then.    First is redemption.  Even if you don't believe in a forgiving God, Christmas has always been about self-renewal.  Of bettering oneself.  Second is the pure joy of giving to others.  If you are truly in the Spirit of Christmas, you want to give to others more than you receive.  Santa Claus (Saint Nicholas) was a real person who lived in what is now modern day Turkey.  He selflessly cared for the poor in his community.  On Christmas Eve, once everyone had gone to bed, he would take little bags of gold coins and toss them down poor people's chimneys.  In the morning when folks went to light a fire to warm themselves, they would find his gold Christmas presents.  Third is Love.  Love for others, love for family, love for Peace on Earth, Goodwill toward your fellow man.

^^ Yes they are, and are they ever doing it in the wrong way.  Truly "Losers with women".  They do have one good point, however, Christmas has become waaaaay too commercialized.

Thanks for the comments!  It really helps me understand the video DomScatterbrain posted.
