Edit: First I thought these pics were taken on her birthday (my profile picture is from that day), but it's just that it's the same furisode. Her hair is different and was made very nicely! I'm suprised that the weather is so good in Japan.

Presumably because “Photobook” isn’t regular, everyday universally understood English so there’s no hard and fast rule about how to translate 写真集 and the cover designer liked the sound or shape of “visual photo book” more. Then it’s only rational to use the same wording for the Japanese if they’re not going to call it “写真集”. I ASSUME that they using kana/waseigo because Yamaki is a modern, westernized ojou...

Which is just to say “why not?” (That would have been faster...)

FWIW - it's in the same vein as Iikubo's book. Released in the direction of fans only, no real distribution (e-line up, official stores).

So they have WAY more liberty to crank down the volume and severity of cheesecake and still make a profit.
