I didn't found such a thread and I think that i'd be cool if we'd have one.
I can't really remember, but I know that it's either Inuyasha or Kaleido Star. but as I disliked Inuyasha at first I didn't really watched...

Doraemon too. Somewhere around 1990 maybe? Following it religiously until early 2000s.

the first anime that I watched while knowing the word "anime" and its meaning: "Sailor Moon" around 1993/1994
the first animes that I watched at kindergarten age (= before 1990): "Heidi" (aka "Heidi, Girl of the Alps"), "Maya the Bee", "The Moomins" aswell as "Queen Millenia" around 1991.

^ saw Pokemon too at the very beginning but I never knew if it's anime or just cartoons. Pokemon might be my first or one of my firsts but I think that it should count from when I started to know what anime is.

Pokemon is also 1 of the fisrt anime i've watched and since then i continue watching pokemon until now.

I don;t know but i really enjoy watching Pokemon, by the way, i appreciate the dubbed ones since i started watching it in english dubbed.

It has to be DBZ, but than I didn't know that it's Japanese. The anime I really followed in Japanese language is One Piece back in 2006-07, since then I am following One Piece; it has been one heck of a ride. To maintain the quality of a story for almost 15 years, hats off to Oda. The then so called big three has long fallen, only One Piece remains as a quality manga. Of late I only read Manga, haven't watched a good anime since FullmetalAlchemist Brotherhood.

I also remember watching Super Book and The Flying House, but i don't think those are anime but rather be called biblical cartoons, i guess.
