Knight Flight and Aitakunattara were both pretty boring as far as ballads go. I got a kind of Arashi no mae Candle-vibe from Knight Flight, but it didn't ever reach the epicness of that song unfortunately - it starts out nice enough, though. Time to zone was forgettable. Ari no Mama no I LOVE YOU was different, and stood out in that way, but wasn't all that pleasant to listen to. MAKE YOU very nearly redeemed this album, and it's actually a decent song that I'll probably listen to here and there, but like Knight Flight it kind of falls flat around the chorus.
Hira Hira Hoshi is definitely the stand-out track here: super catchy and spacey. I know I'll be coming back to it a lot
It's not the worst album H!P's put out, but it's definitely a grower. Which is kind of unfortunate, 'cause up until now everything Kikka's released has been insta-love for me.

(not H!P, but Universal Music. I don't know whether UFA has anything to do with the album althoug Yuu is managed by them)
I have a different opinion about the album because I enjoyed listening to Knight Flight, but didn't like MAKE YOU very much. I agree with you on Ari no Mama no I LOVE YOU, I found it also hard listening to it. The whole album is good (I would say "nice" here, but I was told that this word often doesn't have a positive connotation) to listen to and I think that you can hear the positive vibe that Yuu is always expressing through herself, her mimic, gestics etc.

Knight Flight is just fantastic! I can really hear the deep emotion that she puts in her voice, and the gradually climaxing instrumental just adds to the whole style. Aitakunattara wasn't as good a ballad as KF, but it's still a great listen with her sweet voice and the instruments that are in the arrangement. Time to zone I didn't feel was forgettable as it didn't have as much of a general sound as other songs (examples are her own songs, Kikkake wa YOU! And Hapirapi, which were quite hard to get into, especially the latter), although it did have a kind of style that doesn't "try" stand out as much. But that gives it a homey, country kind of feeling when I listen to it, and makes me feel happy and at ease. Ari no Mama no I LOVE YOU was my favourite song! I'm a big fan of RnB/Hip hop sounding song, so maybe that's why I like it so much! Hira Hira Hoshi is actually not a big favourite for me, but the techno feel of the song and her voice with the effects makes it cool to listen to. I might have to grow accustomed to it, though. Hako no Naka no Blue; another of my non-favourites. But there are specific parts in the song (more specifically, the chorus) that I like a lot, since they seem mismatched from the whole rock sound, which I find enticing. Make You isn't really a special song, but her vocals, I find, are powerful and put an "oomph" in the song that makes it listenable.
So I think it's a perfect album since it has a lot of different styles to listen to, all of which fit well with Kikka's voice. And of course, all of this is in my own opinion. ^.^

The sales aren't too bad if you compare them to the single sales since somehow albums sell less than singles.
That's now always true. Not at all. Basically for only idol groups (nowadays at least... MM's old album sales were very high). Just look at almost any other artist and you'll see... Amuro Namie, Hamasaki Ayumi, Nishino Kana, ikimono-gakari... for some reason idols just concentrate on singles a lot while others sell lots of albums. Idols have a lot of "gimmicks" with singles, more so than their albums, so I guess that's why.
