She's only going on hiatus, not retiring. She deserves it. She probably hasn't had a relaxing time since she was 15.

Some new info!

Maki's manager said they're gonna release not one but TWO digital singles simultaneously this July. Both songs are original and belong to the full album she will release this Fall. Plus, he also said these two new songs are the tunes she will be performing at Avex a-nation11 on the main stage.

Is this thread for both the single and the album? i think it should be for both since they are being released so close to each other...

Actually it's unknown how close each release will be to the other. They only said "full album this Fall" meaning some point between September and December. There's no actual date for the single either although we know it's in the month of July for sure.

I'm looking forward to this! It's nice to know that she will take a break. She needs one after all she's been through. Hopefully this won't be the last time we see her release something.

Looking forward to it I'm glad she's doing something new before going on hiatus.
I'll definitely miss her, but on the other hand, I'm happy for her. She definitely deserves a peaceful and quiet life, after all what happened to her.

Wow! I'm really loveing both songs from the previews. [SCANDALOUS] is my favorite of the two.

^ I think the price is good. The CD + DVD version of the Sweet Black album was sold for 2600 yen. So the CD + DVD version of this album is 4200 yen, effectively you're paying an extra 800 yen for photos, another DVD, and from the description on tokyohive, more things. I don't own the Sweet Black album so I'm definitely getting the box set
