[TVD]

Iirc the dvd has extras too but i dont know for aure.

I have the DVD (2 discs). The extra's are on it.

Somehow I get the feeling that in 10-20 years when you get your own family your kids will be looking at that DVD wondering why you have a Japanese concert video...

Only saying that because it reminds me of when I was around4-5 and I used to see some old video tapes lying around *all though they weren't obsolete at the time* I always wondered why my parents bothered with such old crap.

I love Ai-chan really much...and I think I need this concert...because its Ai-chan´s last tour...
but its so expensive...so i was thinking if I not get it...

It's US$25.99 + P&P for the Taiwan version DVD from YesAsia.com
Which is "cheap" compared to the Japan version of the DVD ($64.49) or the Blu-Ray ($111.99).

I've ordered the Taiwan version - so hopefully the only difference is the Chinese subtitles which can be hopefully be turned off!
Should arrive by month-end!

I can´t play the Taiwan-Version at my DVD player...thats a big problem O_o

Even if you can't play it on your DVD player, from my experience laptops don't have a problem with the region thing. You could theoretically pop it into your computer and have your computer hooked up to the TV to watch it.

^computers are different. It has a region lock that you CAN change but if you change it enough times it'll automatically lock to that region so you can't change it anymore.

Ah, the region-code could be an issue.

Most Hi-Fi DVD players can be changed to Region-free through a software upgrade, or even easier.... I think mine just needed some code tapped in via the handset.
Not sure about computer DVD players, though.
Have a check online as to whether there is a solution.
Not that it is necessarily legal to do so, though - I have no idea.

My laptop (a 15 inch Macbook Pro bought online around Feb. 2011) has no problem playing American or Japanese DVDs. Since they are different region codes I'm assuming this computer is region free. If you have a relatively new computer, I think it's possible to play any DVD, but don't quote me on that. I know I can play the extra DVDs that come with singles and stuff, so this should not be an issue since they are probably encoded with region 2 for both. (Japan is 2 and America is 1, right?)

This is not a fix if you do not own a blu-ray player like me. Plus it's a lot more expensive. To buy a player in addition to spending extra money is hardly a "fix" but if you already have a player then it's an okay idea, if you can swing the money. I can't. lol

It might just be easier to buy a region free DVD player. You can find them online for around $30-$40 but you might get lucky at a local electronics store. Not exactly a cheap fix but it's better than nothing. Plus you'd never have to worry about whether or not your future purchases will be compatible.
