The nations idols are in a serious matter, the Zenigata sisters all gather! What is the reason for the mysterious vanishing in the play?
Morning Musume disappearing in a moving bus. With the power and mind of the sisters, they will solve the mystery behind the secret room!

Heard from 'word of mouth' (or by talk) Umi and her sisters become the bodyguards for Morning Musume. Their concert which is to be held in Kamikitazawa Memorial Hall (and then something about being bodyguarded by a few people.) Morning Musume go to their hotel rooms after the concert, they ride a bus which has a life of its own which one of the sisters follow in another car. To reach the hotel in Asakusa they must go passed a forest. Umi and her sisters are more vigilant as the bus arrives at the hotel. Immediately from the bus someone comes out. Umi and her sisters rush inside the bus Morning Musume and the figure seemed to have disappeared..

The BS-TBS drama franchise "Keitai Deka" is getting its third movie next year, starring the three most recent "Keitai Deka" heroines. As the title suggests ("Keitai Deka The Movie 3: Morning Musume Kyuushutsu Daisakusen! ~ Pandora no Hako no Himitsu"), the film will also feature idol group Morning Musume, acting together for the last time before Eri Kamei, Junjun, and Linlin leave the group.

The "Keitai Deka" franchise has sold more than 1.2 billion yen in DVDs. In addition to the dramas, two movies were released in 2006 and 2007.

The new film will star Aya Omasa (19) from "Keitai Deka Zenigata Kai," Azusa Okamoto (18) from "Keitai Deka Zenigata Mei," and Anri Okamoto (16) from the upcoming "Keitai Deka Zenigata Yui" (starts December 4). The three will team up to solve a case in which the members of Morning Musume suddenly disappear while they are on a bus. Shigeru Matsuzaki (60) and Tomiyuki Kunihiro (57) will reprise their roles from the second movie.

The movie is being directed by Hiroshi Ando, who has worked on several of the "Keitai Deka" dramas. Theatrical release is scheduled for February 5, 2011.

I used google translator to understand the summary. But I translated it into Korean, not English, so it was a little more accurate

Basically, the three main girls are put in charge of an investigation where Morning Musume has been threatened. MM disappears mysteriously while they're moving to a concert location (I think) in a bus. It's the three main girls job to discover the truth.

So MoMusu is casted as themselves

I really hope all the girls get an equal amount of screentime and that as a whole they have a big part in the film rather than a few cameo shots.

well, we've had "sukeban deka" with yoyo, so i guess this isn't half bad (since sukeban was awesome~)

^ I would guess they hold some sort of popularity, even if it's just one very commited audience/a cult following. I mean, this is the third movie in the series, and there have apparently been several TV drama series. You don't just get to keep going on like that if you aren't making any money or holding an audience.

Isn't this the first movie the 8th gen has been in? I really can't even remember the last movie H!P did. Sukeban Deka is wat comes to mind, but I thought there was one after that...was the 6th gen ever in a movie?? (now that I think of it....)

^ Well, Aika now has that horror movie, and LinLin voiced a character in an animated movie. But collectively, I believe it is the first movie 8th Gen has been in.

6th Gen was in the movie "Hoshizuna no Shima, Watashi no Shima ~Island Dreamin'~".

Yeah! Having the performance of PikaPika is so unexpectable. I really hope that there will be many noises coming out because of this film. Namidacchi is a wonderful song for people who don't know much about Morning Musume. So bad that when it is shown, those three will have graduated.

I hope it'll be licensed outside Japan, like Sukeban Deka, feat. Ayaya and Biyuuden was.
Although the odds might not look very great since there's no "Son of a famous director" who's directing this one.

Not sure if it'll be brought over. Most of the vendors that sell obscure Japanese movies tend to focus on strange, or at least action, movies.
