while Otakebi Boy might have a chanting section reminiscient of AKB48's RIVER and be pretty energetic with a really rockin' dance.

This is exactly what I have thought of the first time I get to know the translation of the title...

I was also thinking of AKB48's RIVER style. They might also do some soldier stuff in here. I'm also hoping that they can do the PV outside a simple studio... Like what Buono did on Take It Easy.. It's really cool to see some refreshing and new stuff on PVs.

It fits with the " Tomodachi wa Tomodachi nanda! " statement, and yes I was refering to Maiha.

This is just one of my wild theories, so don't get all excited

The single will be released on 3-3, which coincides with the 1st single when Berryz was 8 nin. Wouldn't it be nice if Tomodachi is also released with 8 nin Berryz Koubou

The event lottery closing date is two weeks after the single's release. (men0 at JPM says this the first time Berryz has ever had this much of an extended lottery period.)

FINALLY! A new single! ANOTHER double-a side! Why I'm really happy is at least ONE of the singles is NOT ABOUT LOVE OR BOYS! "Otakebi Boy WAO!" may be about BOYS again but Tomodachi wa Tomodachi Nanda!!!!! IT"S ABOUT FRIENDSHIP!!! I hope it sounds like Happiness ~Kofuku~! (I'm sort of getting sick of this techo-y stuff)

I bet their 6th album will be jam-packed with singles (seven to be exact) and I bet there will be only about two or three special album songs.

That would be great but I don't think they'll do an outside PV... since SBG and RB were filmed in a green screen. Then, the best choice is that the other PV got an outside PV.. PLEASE! >,< It's been a while since they last outside PV... (Kokuhaku..? )

If we're talking an album with 7 singles here, then I wish UFA/H!P would break out their comfort zone and perhaps take a leaf out of (dare I say it) Johnny's Entertainment's books. For example, Kanjani8's second album (cannot for the life of me remember the title) they had the 1st disc with the original new album (incl. singles) and then a 2nd disc with member solos. I would love for this to happen ;_;

The Berryz is selling well only because it releases double-side, with events large and with an anime on TV. Otherwise sales would be equal to C-ute and Mano Erina. But still sales are not as high ... usually double-A side would sell much more ...

^ They're selling pretty well for Berryz standards, even if they're making double A-sides... obviously they'd sell much less without double A-sides, but who cares? It's working and we the fans are happy with 2 PVs

@kamiki: yiaah, being a double a-side might help, but but they haven't known how to take 100% advantage of that. For example, in the first double a-side (SBG/R), they didn't promote rival at all... at final it was like a b-side song with a PV as a present >_>U! Then we have the second one (RB/WMD), in this one the things were a little more equal, and what happen? Although the promo wasn't as "big" as the one that SBG had, it sold better. So they need to keep this going on AND properly promote this (more than only one or two week, because Berryz has a good 1st week, but their second one has only a max of 3k, which is bleh and it's mostly because they don't keep properly promote the single >_>U)
I know the anime helps but it isn't like Berryz can't hit this type of sales on their own, or at least I can say that they can have better sales than Mano (are you being serious about this, please? I don't have anything against her, but she has a lot of exposure but her recent singles only sells around... uuh.. 15~18k? http://www.hello-onl...tyle_emoticons/hello-online/c33.gif ). Also, Berryz singles promotion can't be compared to Mano or c-ute promo >_>...! They have more TV exposure >,<!

I don't think that they'll sell that much less YYMD wasn't a double a-side but it managed to hit the 33k mark :3~

Can't be read as "otakebi" ... looks like a western typo, to me.

it can be read Osakebi as well as Otakebi, so only the PV can give us Tsunku's reading
