AKBV8

Alright~

No one around me appreciates J-idols. BUT my friends are quite aware of my obsession, complain when I play Jpop/Jrock (though for my surprise b-day party they played ONLY Jpop for me, aha), call me an under-aged lesbian pedophile, and basically make jabs any chance they can slip one in. I never thought I'd start a blog here but I had to share this with people who are of like-mind.

My friend made this for me on my birthday:

The pun, the drawings, and the cutting job just make it epic.

V8? Get it? AKB girls as vegetables? AKBV8? AKB48? YEAH?!

She made me an Oku Manami and Perfume pin also :D - why lack of H!P? I don't even know. Non-wota friends don't even make sense to me anymore...

Oh, and boyfriend got me a hairless rat for my b-day. He's adorable but I still don't have a name for him (and it's been about two weeks)... Suggestions maybe?

LOL. you're friend is hella funny. i would thank him of course for that, then show how much it means to me. hahah.though it is really mean..... such a meanie.. haha. how old are you?
same as me =____= family asks me if i'm a lesbian,of course i say no. but friends never told me that, much to my relief...
and you're boyfriend is so cutteee! a hairless rat? i wonder if he's just joking or what, that is really something different..calbotic.
Call him 'Chewbacca' for the sake of irony!!

I never really talk about what I listen to with my friends because they wouldn't get it, and they're adults. And I don't feel like explaining it to them every time of why I do listen to J-pop/rock.....even though I have a Korean friend but he's just as American (and redneck) as I am. I'm lucky I married a man who likes anime and doesn't mind me listening to J-pop because some of the songs I listen to are from Anime OPs or EDs. I wouldn't worry about it. That's why you have us!!
your friends are awesome t.t
i have the same situation as you.. nobody around me to care of j-idols or even know the difference between idol things and j-pop.
I am so happy you got such a surprise <3
I have the same problem XD even trough 1 friend got used to it right now.. but 2 of my best friends don't know me for verry long..
and in the first days of school (those 3 friends and me are classmates) whe had to go to the Libary and write down the code of the singles you listen a lot to
and they where like "omg.. this is going to be so hard!" and i was like "Don't complain.. there's no way they have my music here".. and Tim responded with "where do you listen to?" "I listen to J-pop" "oh, but they have a lot of pop here!" "no Tim, not normal pop.. Japanese pop!" and he was like "ah.. allright.. i don't know what that is.. but you indeed have the hardest music style!"

and when i cried because of Eri my teacher came to me with "what's wrong Daisy?" and i responded with "My favorite.. Morning Musume.. ERI IS GONE :("
and she was like "Where is she talking about?" I have some classmates which respect Japanese music.. maybe I should try getting them in Hello! Project :X
@aya-chii: It's a her, and she didn't do it to be mean. And yeah, my friends/family are pretty harsh about it, but it really doesn't bug me anymore like it used too. I'm seventeen, and I have too much love for J-idols to let it faze me- my friends realize that. And my boyfriend is pretty funny, I got him a Reina photoset for Christmas because I FORCED him to pick a favorite, ha ha. As for the rat, he's an adorable little naked thing!

@Michi: Yeah, I can understand that. It's sad keeping it a secret though, isn't it? In my experience, some adults aren't open for change and are pretty concrete in their definition of what's acceptable and what's not. Although high schoolers are probably harsher about how they feel, they're also not so quick to denounce it since they're still unsure of what they like themselves. Hm, as long as you're content than it's fine!

@Masuku: Thanks. They sure didn't like the J-pop music that played the entire party but they didn't complain too much. XD

@Geheima: I wouldn't be too discouraged, they're your friends so they'll accept it (and your friend Tim sounded like he thought it was peculiar more than he thought you were weird)! And try talking to those kids who like Japanese music- maybe you can take their little interest and turn it into a BIG interest? XD

Oh and for the name I was thinking Mogi? Ahaha, yes I was inspired by the 9th gen audition(er) (but no one needs to know that but us). It's a cute name, it's not that they look/seem similar to me- it's just a cute name.
Awwww your boyfriend is sooo sweeet
