Gokujo Kukan 13-05-25 synopsis
Takahashi Ai and Kinoshita Yukina go for a drive and chat.
When Aichan was chosen to be in Momusu, she was sad at the same time that she was happy because Yukina didn't get chosen with her. She wanted them both to join together. Yukina says that, honestly, even if she had been chosen she wouldn't have had enough sense of teamwork. In fact, later when Tsunku came to watch Yukina as she was MCing on some show, she asked him why she had failed the audition and that was exactly the reason he gave. Also, one month after the audition ended, Tsunku offered Yukina the opportunity to solo debut. Aichan says that it's actually a good thing Yukina didn't get chosen because her good points and true character wouldn't have come out as an idol.
Aichan, seeing Goto Maki, a junior high school student like herself, thought that maybe she could become a Momusu, too. But after the 4th gen audition, she had the feeling that there wouldn't be any more auditions. When she found out from a friend about the 5th gen audition, she went to a karaoke box to record herself singing as there were no other opportunities to record. Aichan and her mom talked about Goto Maki leaving as a tactic to persuade her dad to let her try for the audition.
Yukina talks about how she was scouted and became a model at age 19.
Aichan still remembers Goto Maki's words of advice to her, "start by imitating", when she wanted to be able to dance like her. So Aichan learned dance moves by imitating a senior such as Yaguchi Mari. Aichan has passed that advice on to all her juniors.
Yukina says out of the blue, "The weather is nice. Want to go bowling?", which cracks Aichan up. YUkina suggests a punishment for losing -- Aichan has to change her daughter's diaper. But Yukina has a lot more experience at bowling than Aichan; she admits she often went bowling even while pregnant. Final score: 83 to 48, Yukina.
Three years ago Yukina married Fujimoto Toshifumi, of the comedy duo Fujiwara, who is 17 years older than her. She tells Aichan how she began going out with Fujimon, why she got married, how they got into a big argument during their honeymoon (about ordering food), and how they made up (with the help of alcohol). Yukina says that people imagine that it must be nonstop laughs to be living with such a funny husband, but that in reality she's the one who does most of the talking and makes him laugh instead.
They go out to eat Chinese dumplings made by a famous cook in Chinatown.
