so the other day, to my surprise, I found one of these outside my front door:
it's an 雨蛙 or Japanese tree frog (the Binomial name is Hyla japonica). the thing that surprised me the most was how small it was. It's only a few centimeters long. I kind of went overboard with the pictures...but anyways, here they are:

I first caught it in small container and then put it inside a clear plastic bottle. I also caught a small cricket and put it in there with some leaves. I was actually thinking about buying a small cage for it and keeping it...but then I decided it was too much trouble and set it free.
