Danielle recently shared an Instagram post celebrating the 25th anniversary of Akai Nikkichou, and it quickly went viral. The overwhelming response inspired her to post more reflections from her time in Hello! Project. In one of her posts, she fondly recalled a standout memory: performing “Hello no Theme” at a concert in Hokkaido — a moment she described as one of the most special experiences of her career.

She also started posting TikToks, in one of them she is talking about how they really put together the group:
There were rumors that Makoto discovered the first generation performing together at a bar in Hawaii, and he was so mesmerized he had requested that Tsunku pick up the act (This is the story that was told on ASAYAN).
In reality, 1500 of people entered a music contest by SONY MUSIC titled Pacific Dream Pop Singer Competition, where ten finalists were selected to sing at the Nagoya Hard Rock Cafe for a chance to win a record contract. Danielle didn't place. Mika placed third. Three months later, they called Danielle saying they wanted to form a girl group. Three of the five original members came from this audition; the other two were chosen from modeling agencies.
