Miki Birthday Giveaway

I'm posting this on behalf of hurtwou and there are probably more people who visit this part of the forum than the Miki thread. Last year we had a competition quiz for Miki's birthday but not this year. It's too much effort. However, hurtwou is holding a prize draw this year for two Miki prizes. The first is a copy of her Okitegami single... nearly a year old but still a fantastic CD, especially when it's free! ^^; The second is a CD that she made with issa back in December. It's mostly the songs from Miki's acoustic live but has a few bonus tracks. The CD booklet contains all the lyrics (in Japanese of course) and is filled with Miki pics that have been artfully manipulated... it looks really professional! If you want to have a look at some pictures of it then visit hurtwou's Miki livejournal and I've attached a couple of scans of the fan CD in this post of the Miki thread. You can still buy the official CD quite easily so that's not really that special (except for the fact that it's free!) but the unofficial CD is. It's obviously not available to buy and the quality of the booklet is amazing. One person drawn at random will scoop both CDs.

To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is send a list of at least TEN, but no more than FIFTY, Miki-moments to [email protected]. What counts as a Miki moment? Your guess is as good as mine... they could be things from radio, TV, concerts, DVD magazines, DVD pamphlets. Obviously you can't say "Miki having a bath with Aya" because that's not something you've witnessed (is it?) but you could include Miki talking about it. Try not to fill your lists with similar things though. If you want a butt grope in your list, put your favourite in there. If you really think two different butt gropes are better than some of the other golden moments out there then by all means put them both in but don't fill your list with them! If you've seen her live then you might consider something in there to be a Miki-moment. I'm sure mister.mori would put his hand shake top of the list. There isn't really a limit as long as it's a moment of Miki. That means that An-kun flying into shot and sliding across the table on Petto Soudan isn't a Miki moment. On the other hand, her reaction could be if you think that's good enough to make your list of top Miki moments, but that would prove that there's a lot of Miki stuff that you haven't seen! :GGRR: I'd probably draw the limit at images but if you really believe there's one that captures a Miki moment then feel free to send it. Best to avoid screencaps though (it's easier if you mention the video). The purpose of this is to create a list of people's top Miki moments so try to give some details to make it easier for hurtwou to know what you're talking about. The more specific the better so if you mention parts from TV or radio shows then please give a date.

As I mentioned at the beginning, it's a prize draw so every entry has an equal chance of winning. Therefore you may only enter once but it doesn't matter if hurtwou agrees with your list or not or whether you send ten, twenty, thirty, forty or fifty Miki-moments, your chances of winning are the same. At the moment the odds are around 5/1 at the moment. Somebody has to win though. hurtwou said she'll draw the winner out of a hat come the day but whether she actually uses a hat I don't know. :w00t: Here's an example list for anyone who wants some guidelines. I tried to put as much variety in this one as I could.

  • Miki's reactions to people referencing her boyfriend Shouji Tomoharu (London Hearts 08.07.29)
  • The 生クリ～ム spectacle (H!M 07.03.18)

  • Receiving a mountain of toilet roll (Pop Jam 02.06.22)

Just to show you how flexible this is, number 2 is very general, number 8 is more than one moment but as they are so similar they're grouped together and number 11 is not something Miki actually did but I'd still consider them to be Miki moments. It's just a guideline but if you're unsure, put it in you list anyway! So to recap...

  • This is a random prize draw
  • There will only be one winner
  • Only one entry per person
  • Entries to be sent to [email protected] before 08-02-26.
  • Entries to contain at least TEN Miki moments
  • Entries to contain at most FIFTY Miki moments.

You have a little over two weeks so get thinking. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here rather than sending PMs or emails. Oh, and don't send your postal address with your entry. You'll be emailed for that if you're the winner.

It'll save a new thread being made when all the slams come around, especially Wimbledon because that's the one that general tennis fans like most.

So the French Open started yesterday for the second Sunday start at Roland Garros but it was mostly washed out by some crazy rain that's suddenly appeared of Western Europe over the weekend. XD Because of that, the 15 day schedule makes no difference when we're at the mercy of the weather.

The Williams sister are already through in a less than convincing fashion with Serena wearing the most vomit-inducing outfit to ever appear on a tennis court. ^^; I expect the Russians (including Maria Sharapova) to do quite well, especially Vaidisova who did well last year but probably won't make the semis again. Because of that I'll write off the Williams sisters here and now. Henin-Hardenne is an extremely tough nut on clay and even though she wasn't at her best yesterday, she's like Federer in that she tends to get stronger as a slam progresses. Also, Roland Garros is almost to her what Wimbledon is to Federer so I'll back her for her third in a row and fourth in total.

I'd love Federer to win it so I'll go for him in the men's. He still has a lot of work to do but he was beaten in 4 last year with him losing a few games that just could well have gone the other way, especially in the 4th set when he clawed it back from 5-3 down to 6-5 up. I remember watching it while I was supposed to be revising for my finals! XD His win in Hamburg has made Nadal appear beatable which makes the ape a certainty for the final because everyone will go into the match knowing that he's beatable but not knowing, like Federer did, how to beat him. What's more, the Fed express manage to bagel Nadal on clay. So I'm backing the two top seeds. If I was Rafael Nadal I'd be seriously annoyed with the seedings because he's two-times defending champion, just went 81 games undefeated on clay winning 13 titles on the way, holds a 14-0 winning record at Roland Garros with 2/2 French Open crowns yet is still only seeded second! :lol:
