MMs Budokan sold out and they added a second Budokan date in June!

During an MC today it was announced that Morning Musume's concert at Budokan has sold out so they're adding an extra concert date to the tour which will take place at Budokan on June 23rd:

https://twitter.com/...693062256730112

I'll update the 1st post with more details as soon as they're available  :)

Edit:

The first post has been updated  ^_^ Here's the official news regarding the extra concert date on the official Hello!Project website:

http://www.helloproject.com/news/6779/

Thought this was relevant here as well for everyone that doesn't check the current concert thread. These are really good news aren't they?

And btw MMs first live at Shibuya Kokaido from 1998 is now on Japan Under Musics channel on dailymotion. :D It's actually a nice comparison to how MM concerts changed and evolved over the past 20 years. ^-^/

http://www.dailymoti...uya-kokaido_fun

It's actually amazing how far H!P has come!

Far? I don't know. That concert had musicians on stage. I know the music kind now makes it impossible, but I always prefer live instruments on stage, and not only voices.

Yes, you can call me grumpy and old fashioned. :D

I was referring to the effort they put into the lights, the transition of the music in the medleys, the camera work and the flow of the concert in general. The production has become so complex nowadays. You might of course still prefer the old way of holding a concert. But I really appreciate all the effort and I think it's like watching a exciting movie nowadays. /D

Oh, of course I appreciate all the hard work for making a great show, I see now what you mean. :good:  It's only my taste for live music on stage; I like the simple way, with good music live, easy dance movements and that "closer" feeling. And now they look a more complex production, like you say: More complex dance, more complex and procesed sounds (but live voices, of course) and light show.

Well, after all, I said it; I'm old fashined. The good point is that with our own tastes, we all can enjoy with a 1998 concert and a 2017 concert. No matter what changes, Morning Musume is Morning Musume. :itadakimasu:

I do tend to like way more live arrangements with a band, especially for a lot of idol groups, wether they have a heavy sound (which in that case sound more natural) or more pop (in which case the live arrangement sounds generally very good).

But it's quite difficult with the last year trend of EDM for Morning Musume...

Ah, yesterday I just saw Wasuta's live that rearrange their songs to perform with live band and think the same way, if HP do it just for one special live it would be fun   :D .

Several idol acts use live musicians at least part of the time these days: Babymetal, Momoclo, BiSH, Dempagumi.inc, etc... and if Dempa can do it, anyone can do it. It definitely adds to the production value, but also the production cost, which is probably why UF chooses not to do it even on special occasions, although it has happened with them at festivals or for TV performances before. It would be nice to see a shift back to it, especially since most of the other major groups are moving in that direction.

So now it's allowed to be a university student and a MM member?

I feel sorry for those who wanted to be both before now (unless they still can)

Or maybe Ogata will graduate soon :c11:

I don't think it was ever forbidden. It's always been an issue of "Can you juggle being in a huge idol group and go to university at the same time?" and there haven't been many cases where people have done both in MM.

Didn't Konno graduate to attend university? I think Ogata would be the first university student in MM IIRC. Can't think of anybody else attending while in the group, much less graduating.

Well I don't think there was a member in MM before that went to uni. Though we'll never know if it was really forbidden or what because Konkon was ages ago and didn't she went to Keio in Tokyo? Like THE top elite university in Japan? There are manga out there telling the story about people failing Keio entrance exams and trying it over and over again.

Sorry for being a bit late sharing this, but here's another video from the girls who went to Taipei last month:

Big thumbs up to Ayumi for being able to say "One And Only" without asking anyone for help or calling it by its Japanese title instead :D I know that she struggled with it before, so it's nice to see how far she's come since then and hear how good her English pronunciation is coming along ^_^

The latest DVDs featuring members of Morning Musume have been announced on the fan club website:

http://www.up-fc.jp/...fo.php?id=10336

Morning Musume '17 Oda Sakura Birthday Event ~ Sakura no Shirabe 6 ~

Morning Musume '17 Ogata Haruna & Haga Akane Birthday Event

Wada Ayaka (Angerme) and Iikubo Haruna (Morning Musume '17) in Atami (Title Tentative)

The title for the Dawa and Harunan DVD may change at some point so the one shown on the fan club website isn't necessarily the official title for it just yet.

That wasn't a prediction. Those are the actual teams they're the cheer ambassadors for. That information has been up on the Cepa Playdream website since the campaign was announced:

This is a very lovely Momusu game, specially the music <3 but I don't really understand how to play: http://ajiponponzu.g...io/musume2048/

Maybe anyone here can translate the instructions?

^ It's like the android 2048 game. Basically, you press a direction button, to slide all the characters to a side. You press the up direction button and all the characters will slide to the topside etc. Instead of using 2(the smallest in the original 2048 game) they used Yokoyan(gold borders and 13). So you slide 2 Yokoyans to change it to a Kaga(red border and 13) and 2 Kagas to a Hagachin(light orange border and 12) and so on so forth ^^; Oh and everytime you press the direction button, a Yokoyan(and the occasional Kaga) will pop up so you need to prevent the game screen from filling up and get as many points with (preferably) as little moves as possible.
