I'm so excited for this! I love Kimi Dake so much! Do you guys think there's a chance for a new line distribution? No matter how much I love Muro I'd really wish her high lines would go at least partly to Take-chan or that Take would sing them with her at least.

but while this is "only" a Bluray/DVD release, they're still doing preorder events

as for the Kimi dake ja nai sa Friends Acoustic ver, probably just like other H!P Acoustic vers... re-recording the music with acoustic instruments while using the girls' old voice recording ...

for example C-ute's Gamusha LIFE (Acoustic Ver.) from the 12-inch LP vinyl edition of their 28th single (Arigatou ~Mugen no Yell~ / Arashi wo Okosunda Exciting Fight!). it's also in Disc 6 of the Regular Edition of ℃OMPLETE SINGLE COLLECTION

Not necessarily. When C-ute's Kanashiki Heaven was rereleased as an A-side after being a b-side on a previous single, they rerecorded all the vocals. Same with the Nen-iri version of Kobushi's Nen ni wa Nen. However, the acoustic version of MM's Tsumetai does have the exact vocals as the original, BUT it was never part of a single. It seems that new versions of songs tend to get rerecorded if they're being promoted as a main a-side track of the release and has a new MV rather than just being an add-on remix for an album. So, we'll probably be in luck here.

 

The title Uraha=Lover reminds me of Uraomote Lovers from Vocaloid. Both mean contradictory/reverse lovers. Interesting to see how this song will turn out.

Sorry, that is just plain lazy to re-do the acoustic version and release as an a-side. I would rather have a brand new a-side.

They can leave the acoustic version as a special track for a brand new (best) album/Petit best/special edition of the single etc.

^ well, it's not lazy, it's being economic. Kimi Dake seems to be popular among fans so they decided to rearrange it into an accoustic version. Clever clever. They at least save some money from not having to hire a lyricist for 1 song, hopefully the money will go to the promotions budget or something.

With the existence of digital singles it might have been a better idea to release the acoustic version as such, making this a double a-side. But in the end it shouldn't matter to the fans. Two new songs are more than enough for one single, in my opinion. Anyway, can't wait for this. For me ANGERME is by far the most consistent group in terms of single quality. I'm thrilled that Kimi Dake gets the level of recognition it does. It really is a beautiful song and I still bitterly regret not voting for it in the 2017 Best Song poll lol

I don't think it needed an acoustic version. I just hope everyone sings in it. Wouldn't mind Muro being switched for the last harmonies tbh but I'm sure that will stay.

Excited for two new songs though.
