Zenbu Seishun's lyrics and composition are by Tsunku.
No wonder it has that H!P vibe.
I am guessing the other single, Enjiru enjite niju-nen, was influenced by it or they are going for an H!P theme-like songs.
On first viewing/listen Enjiru sounded like something from a Berryz discography.

I just saw their release event in Yokohama and they were really great despite a few sound system issues. This release has really got me interested in them and they're a really engaging group live. The new members also seem to have fit in well now too (I'm edging towards Chihiro as my favourite member right now).

Nakaoki Rin has announced that she will be graduating UUG(2) on December 31 to focus on her studies.

 

They've been on a roll with really good music...so I hope this doesn't set them back.

I'm glad that I was able to give her some points in the UF Act poll this year.  I don't often feel like I get as many opportunities to praise current non-H!P idols even though UUG(adjacent) videos make up as much of my suggested video feed these days.  Rather than just having the chance to pat myself on the back for appreciating her before the announcement, I had high hopes for her professional career.  It's a difficult personal choice for her to make though, and objectively it most likely is the correct decision.  It's just unfortunate that it's another case of very little prior warning.

Edit: I just felt like I should mention that as a Tsunku wota this is enough to make me pay serious attention to them. I already liked them, but the thought of them having the possibility of working with Tsunku again excites me. I must support them, but the single comes out on the 25th and its a bit too soon for me to import music again.

The release event for the upcoming single on a brisk windy day. It has, as you may expect, both the Katatte and overdrive songs performed along with other songs from their discography.

 

 

 

This was my first time seeing them live. I loved their MC skills and I thought the dance routines were very cute. I am looking forward to seeing these girls grow.

I'm feeling a bit obsessive atm.... as you can see...

 

However, the dance routine for this song is SO good! Its super cute and the parts when they were marionettes are the best parts, EVERY time I watch this! I swear this could be Hello!Project, its got tsunku, ookubo, and the dance routine feels just like something yoshiko could cook up. I fear I will end up writing an article about this song.

アップアップガールズ(２)　シリーズの第二弾ですね。

彼女たち、グループ名もずっとこのままで行くんですかね。

それはそれでまた人生です。面白いですね。

さて、そんな彼女たちへの楽曲。どうせやるならシリーズでということで進めておりますが、当初は「ま、きっとたいして歌える子もいないだろうしな」と少々開き直りモードな感覚から第1作目を進めたんですが、何を何を。歌にパワーのある子も、リズム感のある子も含めて、説得力のある歌を歌えるチームであることを確信しました。

よって、第二弾は少々力のいる楽曲にチャレンジしてもらいました。

特に前半はリズムが隠されているので、聞こえてくるより倍やそのさらに倍のリズムで音を取りがちなので、高いリズム読解力を必要とします。Bメロからは一気にリズムをささえる楽器も増えて誰でもリズムが取れるようになり、サビからさらにスネアの数が倍になるので、リズムは取りやすくなります。この時に細かく１６ビートを感じて歌えるか、踊れるか（振り付けもふくめて）リズムを取れるかでこの曲の表現が変わってくるでしょうね。本人たちも細かい意識が踊るたびに毎回必要なポイントです。

歌詞に関してですが、付き合っている二人のお話です。 彼氏は日々平凡な毎日の中で、「今日も会おうよ」とか「週末どこ行く？」とか、彼女と会っていわゆる普通に彼女との時間を過ごしたいって思ってます。

ですが、彼女の方は、彼のことは好きだし、会うのはいいんだけど、こんな毎日って人生の何になるんだろう。将来の意味につながるのだろうか。と、ちょっと平凡な日々や、少しサボってる感じのする自分への疑問が出てきた頃のお話で。

きっと、「ねえ、来年とかどうする？」みたいな話を彼に投げても「え？来年とかわかんないよ」ってくらいいい加減な返事でもあったのでしょうか。そこからはあんまりそういう質問はしなくなって、逆に自分のしたいこと、考えたいことがある時は「私今から自分の世界に浸るから頭の中に入ってこないでね」って思ってるのがこの歌詞のシーンです。

どうでしょう。頭に絵が浮かびましたか？！

ちなみにサビの真ん中で「かかって来なさい」って言ってるのは、彼氏にじゃないことはわかりますよね？ これは世の中とか見えない敵とか時代とか、そういうものに対して訴えているわけです。

彼女たちはアップアップガールズ(２)を初めてどれくらいになるのかわかりませんが、メンバーがちょっと遠い将来を語った時に真剣に聞いてあげないと、「わかった。私一人で考えるから」と壁を作られちゃいますよ！！ファンのみなさま！









MVに関しては衣装やダンスは僕のコンセプトではないのでコメントはしませんが、ただ、このビデオを観て思ったのは、色白いメンバーの白さはさらに際立ってとても大人っぽく、人間味を感じて、とてもよかったです。

ちなみに彼女たちを見てるアップアップガールズ（仮）の動画も見ました。みんな大人になっててそれも笑えました。







ということで、「かかって来なさい！」って本人たちも言ってるので、ファンの皆様、是非、ライブでは勝負を申し込んでかかってやってほしいと思います。

メンバーが余裕こいて踊ってる場合じゃなくなるくらいに熱く、ねっ！

This song is in my top 3 of the year. I am also obsessed with it.

 

They first caught my eye at the end of last year, with their video of Doshaburi no Terrace Seki. Mayu was featured heavily and was pretty awesome. Then there's the short-haired girl that gets recorder solos playing with her nose. The song is pretty good too.

 

When they announced their 2 new members, this gave me the vibe that the other girls were none too pleased, and I didn't follow them until this last single, because it said it was a Tsunku song.

 

I watched the video and I was very impressed. The leader gets the most important parts and comes through very well. Mayu has presence, once again. But the star, for me, is Honoka. That 12 year old newbie is magnificent! She changes expressions so subtly, it's almost magical. I haven't seen anything like her in my 7 years of following idols.

 

Finally, I read up that Tsunku will be writing their next double A side, with the new members, in April. So I will be waiting with anticipation for that.

 

Lots of promise from this group, for me.

Wow, so many groups recruiting these days. Well They have videos for the new member auditions they are about to have next week. Wide age range as well, from  6th grade to 23 years old...

 

 

 

 

I love the bgm in this video... I wonder what song its from. I have a lot of work to do, catching up with these girls and their songs.

 

I like these girl's vibes, they were quite charming.
